Ugh. People make me sick. Nobody cares a stitch about the environment until some huge disaster happens, like this huge oil spill over here in Massachusetts. Over Three Hundred and Twenty Five BARRELS of oil were dumped for over TEN MILES before anyone even noticed the leak. Now I turn on the news and I see these pitiful looking birds, covered and slick, black as night, and it makes me sick. It's affecting all sea life in the area, and threatening an endangered species that just came back for mating season. Ugh, this is an absolute disaster. And now, all of a sudden, people care about the environment.

Do yourselves a favor and visit this site. Sign up for the newsletter. Educate yourselves a bit. We, as humans, are absolutely killing our planet, and we're in danger a lot more than just during a crisis like this.

How could they NOT notice that big of a oil spill? You'd think that SOMEONE would have noticed... thats just sad, and sicking like you said. I'll have to ask my Enviromental Science teacher if he has heard about this. It's amazing what we're doing to our planet, and no one really cares. I've always cared about these kind of things, and I care even more since I have taken this class, and learned even more about all the damage that we are doing to the planet.
