ER. *sniffle*
*sniffle* *sob* *choke* Okay, Mark died. *sniffle* No more Mark! *sob* I was hoping he'd be back for at least a few more episodes! Poor Mark. I love him so. I'll miss you Dr. Greene! Well, I do suppose I still have next weeks ER. But, but... he died! *cries some more*
And Carter made me cry, damnit. That's not fair. You can't have Carter crying on ER, it's too lethal! I know I've discussed this before and Carter Angst is very pretty, but NO!
And Oh god, I loved the end. I really did. I actually put my hand over my heart, that's how much I loved it lmao. Did anyone else catch it? Okay, lemme spoil:
So Kerrie is cleaning out Marks locker and gets all sentimental and tells Carter that now that Mark is gone, he's the one who's been in the ER the longest. That being the case, people are now going to look to him for guidance and to fill Mark's shoes. Carter comments on what a tough job it'll be, then Kerrie gets emotional and leaves the room, asking Carter to finish cleaning out the locker. So Carter does, finds Mark's stethoscope and, removing his own, takes it and rests it around his neck. *sniffle*
Then later (this is the part I love), Carter saves this man in the ER (very dramatic mark-ness lol), but he (the patient) was banged up really bad, which made Gallant sick. So after he's done what he was supposed to, he goes outside for some air, then Carter comes out and talks to him, reassuring him about his choice to be a Dr.
Did anyone else catch that this was the EXACT SAME SCENE from Carter's first day in the ER, when he was Mark's Med Student? Eeee! So basically Gallant is the "new Carter" and Carter is now Mark. It was brilliant. They shot it using the exact same scenes and Carter even said the same line Mark used!
"You know, there are two kinds of doctors. The kind that gets rid of their feelings, and the kind that holds onto them."
Oh man. I was like, "THAT'S SO AWESOME!" It made me tear up. Hehe, but that's just me. :P
So anyways, really really awesome ER. Really. Awesome. I'm excited to see what happens next, because just showing Carter's progression as a Dr. has made me OH so happy. *sniffle* I'll miss Mark, but I think Carter will do a pretty good job of filling his shoes.
The one thing I didn't like was when Mark's old patient thought Carter was Mark. But that's okay, because the afore mentioned scene (and Noah Willie's appearance on the news afterwards, claiming that he didn't get through one take of the letter scene without actually choking up) more than made up for it.
*sigh* Love this show.
LordoLorien: Carter made me cry! but that's just me.
