Boys like you are a dime a dozen she said You're a touch, OVERATED, You're a lush, and I HATE IT...
Hellooooooo. So I ended up in Boston today. o_O That was somewhat unplanned.
Yesterday with Em and Allia was a blast. I love those chicks. They crack me the heck up. On the way to the meeting we saw the Aurora Borealis (the Northern Lights). Can you believe it? Here in NEW HAMPSHIRE. It was the very first time I'd ever seen them I think, unless I had back when I was younger and just don't remember. Anyway, it was gorgeous. Absolutely stunning. At first I had no idea what it was, I thought perhaps it was the sheen of the brake-lights of the car tricking my eyes, but then Allia saw it a few seconds later and filled me in that we were supposed to be able to see it tonight. Well, needless to say we were late to the meeting because we pulled over to the side of the road to look at the sky.
It looked like a giant poinsettia hovering in the heart of the night sky. There was a circling orb of color in the middle, blues and reds and whites, and these long sweeping tendrils that splayed out from it like a deep red Jacob's Ladder... it's beyond my ability to describe. Emily said it looked like a moth to her with long opened wings, but however you want to describe it it was beautiful. So bright and colorful, but translucent enough that you could still see the stars shining clear and crisp through the folds of color. Magnificent.
And then on the way home I saw a shooting star. Yep. The heavens were busy last night. ;)
I ended up buying "The Italian Job" last night on a whim. =D Hey, so sue me. Em and Allia talked me into it! It was expensive, too. But ah well, it was worth it so I could have the BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR in my possession. Heeee my precious...
Today I ended up having to take Allia home for various reasons (IE: Emily forgot her wallet here and she was supposed to get on a plane today. Going on a cruise for the next 2 weeks in the bahamas. Yeah, she's blonde, and obviously she couldn't leave without her ID. So I had to bring it to her.) That was fun. I ended up eating a chicken sandwich and chocolate milkshake from McDonalds for breakfast. Yeah. It was not fun waking up early. But anyway. After that mom and I headed down to Boston to see dad in the hospital. He's recovering fine, which is good. Will be home tomorrow.
I think I'll be going with her again to pick him up tomorrow. Beh. We'll see. I had better get some sleep if that's the case. So, to sum up:
-I love Punk'd. ON SUNDAY NICK CARTER IS GETTING PUNK'D! Who HAS to see this episode? Gabby does. Oh man, it looks so funny.
-The Newlyweds show CRACKS ME THE HECK UP. OMG, I LOVE IT SO MUCH IT'S SICK. Nick is so sweet and romantic it kills me. And everything he tried to do for Jessica as a surprise ended up getting ruined. Aww. (Yes, I'm a geek)
-WHY DIDN'T ANYONE EVER TELL ME THAT "PAY IT FORWARD" HAD POSSIBLY ONE OF THE SADDEST ENDINGS OF ALL TIME? So I figure "What the heck, I'll watch this tonight since I've never seen the whole thing all the way through." Little did I know I'd be SOBBING BY THE END OF IT. Gah. Not with the good. But I still love Kevin Spacey dearly.
Um... yeah. Bed. Possibly going to acquire tickets to the next Something Corporate show tomorrow. Need my beauty rest!
PS. I think I need me a Danny Elfman icon that says "Genius Comes in all Shapes and Sizes." Yes. I just thought of that this second. Hmm... *googles*
