few things
Tonight I attempted to watch "Kung Pow: Enter the Fist" for the sake of Sarah, who was always appalled by the mere thought of me never seeing it. The first five minutes gave me the distinct feeling that all those years of Monty Python, Mel Brooks, Red Green, and Matt Groening had still failed to prepare me for this day. The feeling was right. Weird stuff, man.
Also, has anybody other than me noticed that the snippet they've been showing on CNN and the local news about the new AirBus thingy over in Europe has Edward Scissorhands music playing in the background?! Because I, Gabby, Lord of the Geek, was in the kitchen when I heard it the first time playing on the TV all the way in my livingroom, and stopped dead in the middle of conversation with my sister, exclaimed, "Dood. Danny Elfman music?!" and ran into the livingroom a second too late. This happened like three or four times before I actually saw the snippet on the Daily Show. Weird stuff yo.
Also, I would like the world to know that since I started watching Gilmore Girls on ABC Family last October (or something), they have had at LEAST 5 separate LotR references, and at least 1 Futurama reference. God this show rocks the casbah.
I feel there was something else more important to relate, but alas! I know not what it is.
