Eeeee!
One good thing did come about from not sleeping all night... I got to work on icons for my LJ! Heee! I now proudly display 7 brand new icons! Whoop! They're so awesome too! I did waste about... oh... 5 hours on THE BEST ICON EVER that is too big for LJ to host, though. hmpt. It was a John & Aeryn icon! And it was an animated gif, and it went through all the sweetest Aeryn/John scenes (including the dream wedding! eee!)! And the first image said "John & Aeryn..." and the last image said "...Love" And I'm SO MAD that it was too big for LJ because it ROCKED and I spent 5 HOURS trying to make it smaller. But to get it to fit I'd have to delete half of the images and then it just wouldn't have been worth it. So I let it go. *choke* *sob* But the John & Aeryn LOVE!!!
*sigh* Anyway. I watched SG-1 this morning! I am RELIEVED! Jack isn't DEAD (nor did I think he really COULD be, considering the show would go straight down the tubes without him, but when you see a guy in a coffin what do you expect??), just DYING. lol. He's going to survive though (though he's not too happy about what they're doing to keep him alive). OH! FUNNY QUOTE!

"I forgot to set my VCR to record the Simpson's! (Upon seeing Teal'c's arched eyebrow) It's IMPORTANT to me." -Jack
R.O.T.F.L. I love that. And OH! SG-1 made me cry for the first time ever. Because there was this new alien woman who was dying from a disease and Jonas got really attached to her and he was telling her how they wanted her to live and then he corrected himself and said *I* want you to live, and she looked at him painfully and said "sorry" and went into shock and died and he was just so dumbfounded it was so sad. That had to all be said in one sentence, that's how big it is. lol. But I cried because Jonas is just so sweet and I love his character so. lol. *ahem* Anyway...
Now that it's morning and I have virtually nothing to do because I did it all last night, I'm going to scrounge up some action.

*L* I laughed at that too. That was the only episode I've seen. I was in a gross Super 8 in Cordele, Georgia with nothing better to do while waiting for Farscape to come on, so it worked.
That guest girl, I think she was a more evolution-advanced human, wasn't she? As opposed to an actual alien alien? *shrug* She was pretty. And Jonas, oh he was so cute and sweet. I was 'awww'ing at him.
I'm gonna try to watch this show now. Which shouldn't be hard, it being on right before Farscape and all.

Oh, no, wait, there is a point. The end of Stargate was just WRONG. Jack wouldn't do that, dammit! (although someone on my friends list is writing a story about what would have happened if it was Daniel instead of Jack and it's really intriguing.) And I'm very annoyed by finding out pretty much NOTHING about the girl who's name I don't remember who grated my nerves.
I did snort laughter when Jack said that, though. I love the way he even said 'doh!'

Yeah, I JUST started watching SG-1 too. A friend is forcing me (She's forcing me to become a SG addict, I'm forcing her to become a Farscape addict. It's a good trade), so I don't know too too much about it yet. But I like it so far. Jack, as you can tell, is my favorite. I LOVE the biting sarcasm! Yes!

I think that was one of their original theories, but then they decided she was an alien that created the stargate, or something, I'm not sure. But I think by the end of the epi they agreed she was more alien than human. I'm not sure. Maybe I'll watch it again later and check. I liked her though. She reminded me of Lilu from The Fifth Element (with Bruce Willis! Eee!).
And YES with the Jonas love! Before I started watching there was a character called Daniel (that Jonas is replacing) who was, according to my friend, the sweetest character ever. But I can't imagine anyone sweeter than Jonas! I love him so very much! He's a cute alien boy! *g*

I haven't been watching long, but I felt the same way man. I was like "No wait. Quiet resignation is NOT in Jack's personality. What are you trying to DO to his nasty reputation??" I didn't think he'd ever agree under any circumstances either. But they had to keep him alive somehow.
I love the way Jack says EVERYTHING. "I have to go blow something up... it's a military thing." Heee!!!

Sort of, I think. I've only watched the episode once so far but I'm pretty sure what they were guessing was that maybe humans evolved, or devolved, from whatever race built the Stargate, which they thought the girl might be. Did that sentence make any sense? She died before they could find out anything concrete, though.

Isn't he? I thought I would hate him 'cause he replaced a character I love (Daniel! I miss him so!) but I can't help but like him. You should have seen him in the season premiere. He has the cutest smile ever.

He's from another planet. Direct quote from a FAQ of the show here: "Many cultures encountered by the SG teams are derived from ancient Earth cultures." Humans were sort of spread throughout space by the bad guy aliens, the Goa'uld. The Goa'ulds are parasites who take control of a body (kind of like Yeerks, if you've ever read any Animorphs) and they take on the role of gods to rule over people. The main bad Goa'uld right now is Apophis.
I'm gonna try to watch this show now.

I just got another friend into the show too. But he caught that marathon that was on several weeks ago (it had good timing) and now he's hooked.
Yes, Jonas was cute and sweet. I'd watch the show just because he's cute and sweet. But I still like my Farscape better. *nods*
Yeerks, huh? From what I picked up I was thinking of those guys on Star Trek where the spotted people host critters in their gutt. Like Jadzeia Dax. But I didn't pick up much. Hell, if it was a Yeerk-y critter, I wouldn't go for it either. Yeah, I used to read the series a few years ago.
