Mini-Goodies Post
Nrgh. Long day was long. How about some random happy?
I meant to post this stuff on Thursday night (because, srsly, this is how I spent my 25th birthday [after the second degree burns of course lolol]), but I generally fail at life. SO I'M POSTING NAO.
This is what you get when you spend a night in crack chat:
News (sorta):
Games in Honor of Rome's 2762nd Birthday! Excerpt: "A patriotic group of bikers sporting giallo e rosso (yellow and red) athletic gear cleverly transformed their bicycles into race horses that pulled bigas, or two-wheeled chariots, manned by enthusiastic charioteers. While ancient Roman chariot teams were divided by color into the greens, the blues, the whites, and the yellows, these modern day Ben-Hurs formed two teams distinguished by their headgear–the helmet heads and the brush heads." It's days like these I'm proud to be Italian.
Games:
STALIN VS. MARTIANS: I... I'm so not kidding. I just. This game is. I. EXCERPTS: "Obviously, the main concept behind the game is pretty much clear if you can see its name. It just speaks for itself. The fact that such game exists is quite an event. It doesn't really matter what's behind the name or if the game is playable at all. The concept is enough. Simply makes your brain explode." I would suggest reading all pages, and looking at the screencaps/wallpapers, just for the mad lolz. AND THE FAQ. OMGROTFL.

TV THEME SONG CROSSOVERS OF WIN:
Star Wars / Airwolf Rebels. This one is my favorite of the bunch.
Star Trek as The A-Team. Sooo appropriate.
Star Wars / Dallas opening. This is probably my second favorite one. :D
Star Trek as The Love Boat. Ahahaha, the guest stars! I am very tempted to work this into Leela's canon somehow. >.>
Star Wars / Macgyver opening. WINNAAAAAAAAA.
Books:
So, remember that book
jedi_bria and I flipped out over a few months ago? Crys gives us an update on the writer:
[02:43] sardonicynic: Also, speakin' of Miss Austen, did y'all know the guy who penned "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" just signed a $575,000 two-book deal?
[02:43] rogerdebris42: damn
[02:43] sardonicynic: The next project: "Abe Lincoln, Vampire Slayer."
I CANNOT WAIT. >.>
Movies (sorta?):
The Hunt For Gollum. Iiiiii'm still not sure how I feel about this. I'm somewhere between being excited about it, and kinda annoyed. WE SHALL SEE IN FOUR MORE DAYS.
All right, that's all I've got for now. Anybody have any happy to share?
(Ahahaha, and I actually meant to post THIS last night! My failure, let me show you it.)
