Yay for the week...end?
I've had a fabulous last three days.
Meeting was fabulous as usual, but nothing too eventful happened. Afterward we went and picked up a sink Javier had in his garage. Mom thinks we're gonna use it in the basement. After that Javier and the girls came over to our house for b-b-q. I'm not quite sure, but I don't think potato salad and a bag *coughortwocough* of potato chips are on my diet. Ehe... (did I mention ice cream sundays with Sarah?) *blush* BUT ANYWAY... The girls had fun with the kitten, which I'm not necessarily sure is a good thing, but she slept well that night so I don't care. Sarah wasn't able to come over until LATE because Laurie SUCKS, but after a few rounds of Farscape game it didn't seem so bad. Hehehe. Anyway, we had mucho grande fun (THE KITTEN IS GOING DOWN MY SHIRT AGAIN AND NOW SHE'S GRABBING MY FACE WITH BOTH PAWS TO GET MY ATTENTION) playing cards and whatnot, and she loves the kitten too because who couldn't? Aah, Sunday was good.
Now Monday! Monday was also fabulous. I played Nerts with Sarah and I won three out of five! Of course, that may in part be due to the fact that the kitten wanted to play too, and several times we had to yell "PAUSE!" to fix the damage. She's like a mini-godzilla destroying Tokyo. Even kanoawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwszhe MSkrs it impodible to tyoe this ut (even now she makes it impossible to type this out). Anyway, we also watched Ten Things I Hate About You because I LOVE that movie, and OH, Sarah says there's quarterbacks in baseball. BWAHAHAHAHAHA, long story there. She doesn't seriously think that, but that's what she said at the moment, and it caused great amounts of amusement for me.
Anyway, she left around 1ish, and I was left to my own devices once again. Which was, of course, playing the Farscape game. :D

TODAY! I went to see The Hulk with Jonna. Funniest. Movie. EVER. But not intentionally funny... oh no. Funny in the "Flying Yoda" kinda way. BWAAAHAHAHA. Me and Jonna had lots of fun laughing. Andpiratelooksat20? You were right. He DOES look like a giant mutant Shrek. Heee.
OKAY, BUT SERIOUSLY NOW!
I liked the movie. I think it was well worth the 2 bucks I spent to go, and I would have even paid full price for it. Danny Elfman was, of course, the PERFECT choice for the soundtrack. Though, I didn't really dig the weird arabian solos tossed in there. The song that they played during opening credits rocked, though. They did a good job in editing, and Ang Lee did a MASTERFUL job at reminding everyone of it's comic book beginnings. I love the comic book bubbles/split screen effects he did. And I really respect that he didn't overdo it; it was very well done. Though, I'm not sure I liked the weird sped-up-film scenes, but there were few enough of them I could get by without too much annoyance. What REALLY annoyed me though was Sam Elliott's (Ross) HORRIBLE mustache. It was crooked! The dang thing was SO distracting! Every time they did a close-up I couldn't help but stare at the thing! UGH! But that's really beside the point (ANNOYING!).
The acting was great, and what could have been a potential comic book movie flop was actually very tastefully done. The CGI was FABULOUS (IE: Scene near the end where they're shooting him in the secret base... INDENTATIONS IN HIS SKIN WHERE THE BULLETS BOUNCE OFF! SO COOL!), not too corny like SOME movies *coughstarwarsoneandtwocough* And, best part of the whole movie was in Spanish:
"You're making me angry. You're not gonna like me when I'm angry." Bwaaah, little tribute to the series there. :) Anyway, 4 out of 5 stars. Very fun movie, good music, good direction, good editors, good acting. Can't wait for the sequel.
Interesting Tidbits: STAN LEE CAMEO! I love that he does that in every movie. This time he was a security guard at the facility Bruce works at. Very first time you see him go to work, Bam! There's Stan Lee.
Also: Near the end of the movie, one of the SWATT team people looks FREAKISHLY LIKE HEATH LEDGER. I even thought for a moment that maybe he did a little cameo or something. I found out through www.imdb.com that it wasn't really him, but MAN it looked like him. Freakishly similar face. He's stolen Heath's face! He must be stopped before this madness can go farther!!
Okay, there's my review for you in 1000 words or less. :D Sister hang out here after the movie until we had to leave for bookstudy. She slept most of the time (in which I played more Farscape, BWAAH), but she enjoyed the kitten (as does everyone else!). Meeting was good but uneventful. Watched TV when I got home. Now chatting with Sarah. Gonna write Danny!fic. Then Farscape Game. Then Bed.

Meeting was fabulous as usual, but nothing too eventful happened. Afterward we went and picked up a sink Javier had in his garage. Mom thinks we're gonna use it in the basement. Aah, Sunday was good.
Now Monday! Monday was also fabulous. I played Nerts with Sarah and I won three out of five! Of course, that may in part be due to the fact that the kitten wanted to play too, and several times we had to yell "PAUSE!" to fix the damage. She's like a mini-godzilla destroying Tokyo. Even kanoawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwszhe MSkrs it impodible to tyoe this ut (even now she makes it impossible to type this out). Anyway, we also watched Ten Things I Hate About You because I LOVE that movie, and OH, Sarah says there's quarterbacks in baseball. BWAHAHAHAHAHA, long story there. She doesn't seriously think that, but that's what she said at the moment, and it caused great amounts of amusement for me.
Anyway, she left around 1ish, and I was left to my own devices once again. Which was, of course, playing the Farscape game. :D

TODAY! I went to see The Hulk with Jonna. Funniest. Movie. EVER. But not intentionally funny... oh no. Funny in the "Flying Yoda" kinda way. BWAAAHAHAHA. Me and Jonna had lots of fun laughing. And
piratelooksat20? You were right. He DOES look like a giant mutant Shrek. Heee.OKAY, BUT SERIOUSLY NOW!
I liked the movie. I think it was well worth the 2 bucks I spent to go, and I would have even paid full price for it. Danny Elfman was, of course, the PERFECT choice for the soundtrack. Though, I didn't really dig the weird arabian solos tossed in there. The song that they played during opening credits rocked, though. They did a good job in editing, and Ang Lee did a MASTERFUL job at reminding everyone of it's comic book beginnings. I love the comic book bubbles/split screen effects he did. And I really respect that he didn't overdo it; it was very well done. Though, I'm not sure I liked the weird sped-up-film scenes, but there were few enough of them I could get by without too much annoyance. What REALLY annoyed me though was Sam Elliott's (Ross) HORRIBLE mustache. It was crooked! The dang thing was SO distracting! Every time they did a close-up I couldn't help but stare at the thing! UGH! But that's really beside the point (ANNOYING!).
The acting was great, and what could have been a potential comic book movie flop was actually very tastefully done. The CGI was FABULOUS (IE: Scene near the end where they're shooting him in the secret base... INDENTATIONS IN HIS SKIN WHERE THE BULLETS BOUNCE OFF! SO COOL!), not too corny like SOME movies *coughstarwarsoneandtwocough* And, best part of the whole movie was in Spanish:
"You're making me angry. You're not gonna like me when I'm angry." Bwaaah, little tribute to the series there. :) Anyway, 4 out of 5 stars. Very fun movie, good music, good direction, good editors, good acting. Can't wait for the sequel.
Interesting Tidbits: STAN LEE CAMEO! I love that he does that in every movie. This time he was a security guard at the facility Bruce works at. Very first time you see him go to work, Bam! There's Stan Lee.
Also: Near the end of the movie, one of the SWATT team people looks FREAKISHLY LIKE HEATH LEDGER. I even thought for a moment that maybe he did a little cameo or something. I found out through www.imdb.com that it wasn't really him, but MAN it looked like him. Freakishly similar face. He's stolen Heath's face! He must be stopped before this madness can go farther!!
Okay, there's my review for you in 1000 words or less. :D Sister hang out here after the movie until we had to leave for bookstudy. She slept most of the time (in which I played more Farscape, BWAAH), but she enjoyed the kitten (as does everyone else!). Meeting was good but uneventful. Watched TV when I got home. Now chatting with Sarah. Gonna write Danny!fic. Then Farscape Game. Then Bed.
