Yeah, I've been neglecting LJ. On purpose too. Ehe, sowwy. But nothing too exciting happened. I spent most of the past weekend watching movies because I wasn't exactly in a position to leave the house for a couple days... erg, but we wont talk about that. I do have a few Movie Quotes though:

Batman Returns: Man, I forgot how much this movie ROCKS! I finally opened it up and watched it Friday afternoon (I think) after owning it for a couple months, and now I remember why it's my favorite out of all the Batman movies. Because it really is the best out of all of them. Tim Burton directed, Danny Elfman did the music, and Michael Keaton! Wheee! He was the best out of all the Batmans. *nods* Perfect face for a Batman. Don't ask me why, it just is. Michelle Pfeiffer totally rocked as Catwoman, too! And dude, she survived at the end. For some reason I thought she died! Dang, I can't believe how much I forgot about this movie! *smacks forehead* But yeah, after Tim Burton and Danny Elfman went off the Batman project (not to mention losing Michael Keaton!), the Batman movies went totally downhill. I suspect that's the reason they haven't made more. I mean.. the whole Val Kilmer thing.. BIGGEST MISTAKE THEY COULD HAVE MADE! And don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Joel Schumacher (after all, he is directing the new PHANTOM OF THE OPERA! movie, scheduled to come out in 2004), but he is just not Batman material. You need the slightly twisted mind of Tim Burton to make the movie actually work, and without him you ain't got nothing. Not to mention Danny! Danny Elfman! The man that does the music for EVERY COMIC BOOK MOVIE, because he ROCKS! You can't have a Batman movie without Danny Elfman music! I mean, just LOOK at all his writing credits on IMDB.com! The man's a genius. Anyway, yay for Batman Returns and MICHAEL KEATON! *swoons* I don't know why, but as Batman Michael is hot. It's like the Sean Bean/Boromir syndrome. Not so much with the Sean Bean cuteness as with sexy hot dirty man Boromir. Mmm... anyway.

IN OTHER TIM BURTON NEWS (god I love him), HE'S MAKING THE NEW CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY MOVIE! EEEEEE! IT'S SET TO COME OUT 2005!! I CAN'T WAIT! AND DANNY IS DOING THE MUSIC FOR THAT TOO!! WHEEEEE! In sooner Danny Elfman news, check out Spiderman II for more dannylicious music.

Catwoman: (slated to come out 2004/5) Halle Berry is playing Catwoman. I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. Prepare for a major blowout on the subject at a later time.

Planet of the Apes: Would you believe I've never seen ANY of the originals (and we're not even going to get into the horribleness of the Mark Whalburg version)? Well that all changed Friday! lol, AMC had a Planet of the Apes marathon on the 4th and 5th, so out of curiosity I had to watch. The first one ROCKS for two reasons.

Reason #1: "Get your stinking hands off me you damn dirty apes!"-Heston (Taylor)
Reason #2: "I would like to kiss you goodbye."-Taylor
"All right... but you're so damn ugly!"-Zira

BWAAAAAH! I would so buy this movie. Anyway, the rest of them, no big surprise, weren't as good. Though the third one CRACKED. ME. UP. "Does the male talk?" Cornelius: "Only when she (Zira) lets me." AHAHAHAHA! *ahem* Yeah. So I watched the first 2 1/2 Friday night, then the last 2 1/2 Saturday afternoon. Much fun. I feel a lot more educated on our history. BWAAAAHAHAH!

The Love Letter: Yeah, so I watched this on ABC Thursday night, and have come to a few conclusions.
#1. Tom Everett Scott is a hottie.
#2. Ellen DeGeneres is hysterical.
#3. Tom Everett Scott is. a. HOTTIE.
#4. "All that exercise has to be bad for a person" and "Whenever I get the urge to exercise I lay down until it passes" are two quotes that CRACK ME UP.
#5. Shades in That Thing You Do is a hottie.
#6. Shades was played by Tom Everett Scott, who also happens to be A HOTTIE.
#7. "Daddy's going to go play with his fire hose! ... Well that didn't sound right."
#8. Eric on ER is a hottie. Oops, same actor that portrays Shades in That Thing You Do!
#9. ...Did I mention Tom Everett Scott is a hottie?
Yeah, those are pretty much all my thoughts on this particular movie. It was pretty cheesy. But hey, Tom Everett Scott is a hottie.

Tequila Sunrise: I watched this Saturday night. I only turned it on because it sounded like Mel Gibson was portraying a bad guy, but I should have known better. Mel is NEVER the bad guy! Anyway, pretty good movie for the late 80s. No terribly amusing quotes though.

Yeah, so aside from the Movie Madness I didn't do that much. Glen came and worked in the basement Wednesday and Thursday, so now my room is ready to paint! Whoo! Um... JD came and messed with the computer on Thursday, so I didn't use it all day Friday. Er... yeah. Yesterday was fun though!

After the meeting (Bonnie Long was there! Yay for Bonnie!) I invited Danielle over to hang out for a while. We didn't do much, this IS NH after all. But we went to the Tilt'n Diner for frappes--they have the funniest signs there... "Tip Us or Die of Hunger" bwaaah--then to downtown Laconia because I've never been there. It's so cool! AND! THEY'RE RENOVATING THE OLD-FASHIONED MOVIE THEATER THERE! WHEEEE! I need to rent "The Majestic" now. lol. Anyway, after that we went to her house for a little bit, and it's SO adorable, I love it to bits. Then to Blockbuster where we rented The Hot Chick, because she'd never seen it and I love it so much, and then we came home. The boys were over (not to mention the Skibiki's stopped in), so me and Danielle stayed in my room for the most part and looked at pictures & talked. She stayed for dinner, we finished the movie, and then she headed home. It was a lot of fun. We talked the whole time and let me tell you, we are some extremely funny people. Heeeee!

So yeah. There's my past few days for ya in a nutshell. OOH, LAST NIGHT WAS THE SEASON PREMIER OF THE DEAD ZONE TOO! How much does Gabby ADORE Anthony Michael Hall? Lots and lots.

Today's Theme For The Day:
So one of ancient Laodicea's (about 90 miles east of Ephesus) primary deities was Asclepius, a god of medicine. So I wonder if A-Sleepy-Ass ever helped the townspeople discover Nytol. Heee.

Um... I really don't know. You might want to check out TheOneRing.net, but it's pretty impossible to score LOTR premier tickets; I'd say even tougher than getting Star Wars tickets. So your best bet would probably be keeping an eye out for promotionals and contests. That's about as much help as I can give you. Sorry!
