Ah! I'd forgotten about this! The foreword Johnny Depp wrote for the book "Burton on Burton"! I remember him feeling this way, but I'd forgotten he'd actually put it on paper. Wow. See, now that's what I feel about Tim Burton and Edward Scisorhands precisely. Right there. That's why it was my favorite movie when I was 7, and Tim continues to be my favorite director to this day.

bria_mclean: the BQ was a group made up of myself, Lyssa (a girl from the next time zone over in Canada, Hollz, a girl in the timezone after Lyssa in Canada, and Riss, a girl in California. The four of us were authors. And we would end out chapters n cliffhangers and not give out the next chapter to a person until another chapter was given. Kinda like, "I'll give you chapter 3 of Blue Star Children if you give me ch5 of Defenders of the Faith." And we'd all get the said chapter at different times. Like If I got chapter 5 from Riss and Hollz hadn't finished her chapter, I couldn't let her see Riss' chapter

Btw, it's sad that while I'm listening to music from PotC, I can identify exactly what's happening in the movie. It's not so sad with LOTR, considering I've seen the movies over three dozen times collectively... (okay so maybe it's a LITTLE sad...), but I've only seen PotC twice, and here I am shouting "HEY! That's where Jack is sailing in on the crows nest! And OH! The trumpets? That's the 'Pirates Ye Be Warned' scene..." Yeah. I know. Seek help. I need pleh. ;)

Yeah, well I couldn't stand to sit through Orlando Bloom's horrific acting for a third time. *shudders* Talking about pleh, that boy could use some. A LOT in fact. *shakes head* Poor poor boy. I almost went a third time but that's only because someone offered to pay for me, so it went from "sitting through Orli's lousy acting again" to "getting to see Johnny Depp again for free." Heh. I know them all too. It was Part of your World. Such a shame, it really is a wonderful song, she just butchered the thing. Sometimes she can hit the right pitch. Sometimes.

And I agree about his need of pleh in acting. The only reason I saw it times 2, 3, and 4 was to see Johnny Depp. The 4th time I sat there through the movie saying to myself the entire time, "I can NOT believe that man is 40!" He seems so much younger... *sigh*

Oh, I KNOW. It's really freaky when you think to yourself "He's 40 and you've been a fan since he was 27. That's 13 years of your life!" I had a huge crush on Edward Scisorhands (yes, I admit I was a strange child!) and I continue to have a crush on Johnny to this day. *sigh* It's because the man can wrap his fingers around your heart and make you believe. I believed in Edward. And that movie molded who I am today.

*sigh* 40. Dang. Just throws me for a loop. Doesn't seem like there should be such a gap in our ages. I grew up with him. Man. 40.

I have to look up anything else he's been in. He's such an incredible actor, I just remember CHARACTERS rather than him AS characters. They still have Pirates at work - it never left, it was doing too well. Though, I think it may have dropped this week or will next. I dont know for sure, havent been there in a while!
