GIP

No one will help me with learning how to do cool effects. And I really, REALLY don't want to re-install the free trial ps7 because frankly it doesn't work. Either that or I'm really skipping something in the instructions, because I could never get it to work while I had it. But alas! I can't seem to find a way to make cool blinking/fading/etc text and effects without it. And nobody will help me out. *sigh* So, GIP, however plain, because my talents are limited. Ah well. Not like I NEED to waste more time with icons. It'd just be nice to have a really pretty one.

Because you asked me to...

I'll help with what I can. If you wanna do blinking and fading I know you need to use Animation Studio, which luckily usually comes with PSP(anyversion). Basically you save both with the text and without and then in Animation Studio use the pictures in whatever order you want however many times. And fading involves 'insert image effect' or 'insert image transition'... depends on what you wanna do with it. Unfortunatly you can't have too many frames to an animation or LJ won't let you upload it. :/ of course sometimes the solution then is to simply make every frame smaller (maybe 80x80 instead of 100x100). I hope that helps. Bug me via email or LJ or whatever if you have more questions and hopefully I'll have the answers. heh.

See journal post.

Unfortunately that includes the Animation Studio. So anything involving PS and AS is out, because I don't want it taking up space on my HD again.

*sigh* Thanks anyway.

The PSP downloads never worked for me back when I had Windows 2000. Now that I've got XP, the same downloads are working no problem. You're not missing much, though, as far as I'm concerned. Photoshop is infinately better, unless you want to animate.

Precisely. I LOVE photoshop. Unfortunately for me, I want to animate.

D'oh.
