Back to the grind... back date entries take two...

Thursday I slept in really late because I had been up talking to people until about 3am. Yes. Craziness. Actually, I don't think I did much on Thursday. Hmm. I DID however play with my dad's computer microphone for the majority of the afternoon (he gave it to me! Craziness will ensue!), and recorded me doing Gollum about a hundred times. HEHEHE. I'm so easy to amuse. Like I said, I will upload that later.

Meeting was fabulous. SO FUNNY! Hannah had a talk on modesty and my mom was her householder. It was supposed to look like a student talking to a teacher. Oh man, my mom messed up so bad.

They had gotten to this part where they were talking about how some girls dress like hoochy-mamas to attract boys (of course they used more... flowery words than that, ehehe), and my mom was supposed to say something along the lines of how she's seen a lot of young girls with low pants and short tops and it was a problem especially when it came to attracting the opposite sex. Well instead my mom comes out with this:

Mom: Oh yes, it's especially a problem when it comes to the wrong sex. ....... Or... the other sex. ...... As in the opposite one!

Needless to say the whole audience was dying of laughter. It was great. Then Bro. Mann was called up for an impromptu closing prayer. I about died when he said "And help us to lean on each other.... when we're not strong..." AHAHAHAHAHA! Dude, you had the whole closing song to think of something to say, and that's the best you came up with? "Lean on Me" lyrics? *shakes head* I love it. It's great. I love this hall.

Um aside from that? I can't think of anything. Oh yeah, that night I stayed up really late finishing Kayla's bracelet & sketching a horse to give to the Hilgers, etc, so I got to watch Disk Three of TTT:EE stuff!!! Wheeeee!!

Dude, yesness. I only have a few things to say about it. Let me see if I can remember them, it being a week since I watched that disk and all. :P

1. Ah yes, Liv Tyler made me happy. When they were talking about how they removed her from Helm's Deep (now you know why you see her in the final charge, Bria! I KNEW they had put her in Helm's Deep, I don't know why I didn't remember that when you started asking why she was there in the final charge. *sigh* I'm a dip.), she had an awesome quote about Arwen. She said, "I realized you don't have to put a sword in her hand to make her strong." That really hit me for some reason. Had to comment on it so ya'll could watch out for it when you watch the disks.

2. The last half hour or so where it was nothing but Gollum bits. DUDE. I have to wonder----HOW did they manage to have an entire Gollum disk just for the box set? They HAD to have had at LEAST a half hour of nothing but gollum stuff on this disk... and I'm convinced, Andy Serkins is a GENIUS. my GOD. I'm just... blown away. *sing-song-ly* Geeeniiiuuuuuus... Really, when they did the split screen thing where they had Gollum on one side and Andy on the other? I looked like the emoticon on yahoo that goes like this :O Seriously. Mouth was in my lap. The guy is incredible. AND THE SPIT! HIS SPIT MADE IT INTO THE MOVIE AND HE WAS SO PROUD! AHAHAHAHA Love it. Oh, and the "Gollum Juice" bit was such genius. "I can't talk like Gollum until after I've had my *makes cheesy advertising smile* Gollum Juice!"

That's all I can really remember about it. Other than the fact that my desire to work for WETA has grown to intolerable levels. I love them so. All the armor and weaponry and... gads. I would SO work there. Even endure Richard Taylor (heissoannoyingitkillsme) because I love it so. But yes. There's my random thoughts.

bria: I want an elvish cloak
bria: whon from Lothlorien
me: dude, me too
me: *nods*
me: *claps* Haldir! Come! Bring me a cloak! ........ and one for Bria, too.
bria: oh fair lady of the golden wood, could you weave me a cloak?
me: rotflmfao
bria: O:-)
me: you actually think *I* weave the cloaks?
me: *laughs hautily*
me: I have man-slaves for that!
bria: you do in the books
me: LIES!
me: ALL LIES!
bria: Tolkien lied?
me: THAT'S RIGHT!
me: I HAVE MAN-SLAVES THAT LOVE ME AND DESPAIR AND DO ALL MY BIDDING!
bria: he's nasty, tricksty false?
me: LIKE THE DAWN!
bria: lmao
bria: you actually let filthy humans roam your private quarters?
me: dude, Faramir isn't filthy. He's..... pretty.
me: Boromir?...........well, he's slightly dead, but still pretty.
bria: LMAO
bria: and what of Aragorn?
bria: he has been proclaimed a "flithy human" by Legolas, Thrandilionion himself
me: pssh, Aragorn's too busy doing his *makes quotations with fingers* "King of Gondor" thing. Whatever.
bria: lmao
me: Legolas is one of my man-slaves.
me: and by that I mean MALE
me: Haldir, Glorfindel, Celebrion... ALL MY WHORES!
bria: and of his marriage to your granddaughter and my sister?
me: *shrugs* She was always an air-head to begin with.
me: ;)
bria: so you should say MALE slaves. I'm sure Legolas would take it as a creat insult to be called a "man"
me: *looks indignant* Do I care?
me: NO!
bria: somehow I doubt that my lady
bria: I think you should have a Hobbit in your care for the period of a year
bria: no slaves, just a curious Hobbit
bria: ...perhaps Pippin
bria: then you can be a step ahead of him and then watch him scramble to be three steps ahead of you. it's great amusement I must tell you
me: and btw, I already have a host of hobbits at my command! BWHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA

Friday was boring for the most part. Really. I woke up early and ran errands with the folks all day long. I did a lot of reading while they were out doing their things. And then in the evening Leslie Skibicki invited us over for dinner 'cause Glenn was out of town. SHE HAS A NEW KITTEN! SHE IS SO CUTE! SHE LOOKS LIKE A LITTLE MINIATURE BEAR! SOOOOOO ADORABLE! Her name is Cinder. Very adorable, but very timid. JD and Sandy and the boys came for dinner as well, and let me tell you it was really yummy. A fresh turkey. Whooooo tasty. ;)

Um, I'm not gonna go into a lot of detail about the dinner, because I can't really remember all that much. I remember talking LOTR with the brother and laughing for pretty much the whole night because Leslie is so bad. We think so much alike. It's not good. lol. But we stayed there pretty late. I gave Leslie the stuff for Kayla and Nichole Hilger and she said she'd give it to them when she saw them on Sunday. I finally gave back Benny and Joon. It was sad. I managed to watch it twice in the few weeks I had it. Hehe. Love that movie. But anyways, that's pretty much it. It rained all day and I wasn't home at all. When we got home that night I watched TV, but I forgot what I watched. Monk? TTT:EE Disk 4? I can't remember. I went to bed fairly early and read some more. :P

Saturday: Saturday sucked. The power was out ALL DAY. I kid you not. It was off before I woke up and didn't come back on until around 6ish. What's really bad is it's so FRICKIN' DARK IN THIS HOUSE, that all the light I had all day was like twilight. It was very depressing. I had woken up at around 4am with bad stomach pains and couldn't get back to sleep for hours. So when my alarm went off at 7:30 for the meeting I just couldn't bring myself to get out of the bed. I was soooo tired. So I missed meeting. Mom and dad didn't get home until (my best guess, since I had no clock) around 12:30 or so. So I read all morning to entertain myself.

I actually read all day for the most part. TTT, because since the DVD came out I've been in a wicked TTT mood. I think I read from somewhere around Frodo and Sam meeting Faramir to just before they encountered Shelob. It was dark by that time and I had been reading by candle light, so I was kind of... freaked out. YES I KNOW, I'M A GEEK. BUT GADS IF SHELOB DOESN'T SCARE THE POOP OUT OF ME EVERY TIME!! ANYWAYS... JD and the boys came over. We got KFC for dinner because obviously we couldn't cook anything. It was good in that gross kind of way. lol, nasty stuff really, but mmmmmmmm.

The power came back on shortly after dinner, but I was too scared it'd go off again so I didn't turn on my computer. It had flickered once or twice before it went off this morning (unless I had just dreamed it), so I didn't have a lot of confidence in it. Um... JD pretty much ignored me until he left later that night, and I was in a bad funk all night long so I just sat on my butt and watched TV. That's So Raven marathon. 'Cause I'm a weirdo. I took my shower so I could go to meeting in the morning, and stayed up late enough so I thought my hair would be okay to sleep on (it takes my hair about 6 hours to dry, if not more). Watched "The Family Man" on TV 'cause DANNY ELFMAN MUSIC! NICHOLAS CAGE! WHEEEEEEEEEEE!! GOOD COMBO! And reluctantly read more TTT before I fell asleep.

I cried again. Damn it, I ALWAYS cry when I read those last few chapters. When you think Frodo...... yeah, and Sam just.... oh. Sobbed. It was bad. I was very sad. Good news is I fell asleep without much difficulty 'cause I wore myself out emotionally. lol. I love those two chapters. *sigh* Such an amazing piece of work. Can't wait to see how PJ goes about putting it on film.

Meeting was faaaaaabulous. Brother Wilshire from Concord West gave the talk, and he's such an awesome guy. Cracks me up. A few highlights from his talk:

"You know when you go on a diet you---by the way, I'm on a diet, how do I look? I lost 8 lbs... *poses*---back to my point..."

"Every once in a while I clean the bathroom. And I tell you what, it sparkles when I'm done. I get down on my hands and knees and scrub the floors, the shower, polish the cabinets, everything and I just step back and *looks admiringly*. Then my wife comes along and I *looks to his left, panicked* 'You're not gonna USE THAT??'"

There were more. Because he's hysterical and I love him. But anyways, after the meeting was over I talked to so many people for SO long. I was like the last one out of the hall. Dani's dad and step-mom were up visiting, so I got to meet them. Very cool. Dani and I talked for a bit and agreed to get together later. Megan, Lexi, Shakita, and Hannah all surrounded me so I talked to them off and on. Bob Woods came up and we chatted for the LONGEST time. Oh man, we talked forever. It was really nice. And everyone knows I ADORE Bob and his kids. They're just so awesome. OH! OH! BEST BOB QUOTE OVER, AND MY THEME FOR SUNDAY!

So Meg has this HIDEOUS fake diamond ring that's almost the size of her head. She actually paid money for it! Anyway, she wears it on her left hand (much to my chagrin) and says she's engaged all the time. I HATE this ring. It's so hideous. So Bob walks up to our group and I point to Megan and say "Bob, check out Megan's ring"...

Meg: *proudly holds up hand* It's my bling-bling!
Bob: *looks genuinely confused* Your WHAT?
Everyone: *laughing*
Bob: No, it's called a RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRring. Say it with me now, RRRRRRRing. It's a RING-RING!
Me: *dying of laughter, bent in half, almost on the floor, tears in my eyes*
Bob: THIS *blinks several times* is 'bling-bling'!!

I love him so. It was soooooo funny.

So anyways, I talked to all of them for a while. Invited Ben Verril to go to the midnight premier of RotK with my family if I could find tickets. *sigh* I can't. New Hampshire SUCKS. But anyways.

After the meeting Dani came over for a bit. We talked for a couple hours, looked at party pictures, yadda yadda. It was a lot of fun. It's been FOREVER since I've seen Dani, so it was good getting to talk with her again. When she left she accidentally backed over one of the stakes marking our driveway. She called me up like "You know those stakes next to your driveway?" "...yeah..." "You know the one near the end of the driveway?" "...yeah..." "It's kinda not there anymore..." LOL. Poor thing.

Meg then came over because she had invited me to come over for dinner and spend the night. So I did. She came and picked me up and we headed out to Meredith to where she lives. First, though, we decided we needed to rent some Johnny Depp movies so we went to blockbuster. She picked up Benny and Joon (HA!) 'cause I had been quoting it for the past week or so. And I found, GUESS WHAT??!?!! "THE BUMBLEBEE FLIES ANYWAY" WITH ELIJAH WOOD!!! EEEEEEEEEEEE!!! I WAS SO EXCITED THAT I FORCED MEG TO LET ME RENT IT!!!! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HEEEEEEEEEE!!! I had been looking for that movie FOREVER and had never been able to find it. So you can imagine my glee.

We headed back to her house and had turkey dinner (yes, I was getting pretty sick of BIRD by this point in time, this being the third day in a row I'd had it, but it was really good). We went out again later to the store and picked up some ice cream and mint tofuti cuties because Allia has us hooked on them. I looked for the premier magazine AGAIN and still didn't find it. This being the... hmmm 6th store I'd looked in? I think that's right. Maybe more. But I haven't seen it ANYWHERE. NOWHERE. No Premier magazines, not even other issues, anywhere in NH. It's VERY FRUSTRATING.

So we went back to her house and watched Benny and Joon. I have now watched that movie 4 times in 3 weeks. BWAHAHAHA. It had been years since Meg had last seen it, so needless to say she was in stitches. I was in stitched too, but only because I'm easily amused. *ahem* We had great fun laughing at that movie. And she shook her head at me when I told her I knew the whole "dancing rolls" routine by heart. *sigh* Blessing and a curse people, blessing and a curse...

After that we went in her hot tub. I didn't want to, but she forced me. It was okay. Nice, until it came time to get out. BRRRRRRRR PEOPLE, BRRRRR! I hate NH. But after we got out of the hot tub we got us some snacks and headed back to her room for The Bumblebee Flies Anyway.

Meg: *holding out a can of Dr. Pepper* Dr. Pepper and Salt & Vinegar potato chips! Mmmm!
Me: *eating ice cream* Coffee ice cream, candy sprinkles, AND Salt & Vinegar potato chips... GOOD COMBO! *eats a chip*
Meg: *dies laughing*

So we set out watching The Bumblebee Flies Anyway after that. GOOD. MOVIE. No, not really oscar-worthy material, but still for what it was, it was excellent. Little baby Elijah Wood! He's so cute and tiny! And Genine Geraphelo (sp?) was in the movie as well! That was very exciting for me.

Anyway, very good movie. Tear-jerker, but good. EXCELLENT twists. AND THE ENDING! OKAY, SPOILERS AHEAD: .................. SHE FOUND HIM! EEEEEEEEEEE!!! AT THE END OF THE MOVIE!!! RACHEL LEIGH COOK FOUND HIM!!! OH IT WAS SO FABULOUS I 'EEEE'D OUT LOUD!!! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! THAT MADE ME SO HAPPY!!!

*sigh* Barney Snow is my boyfriend. Oh, and that kid in the wheelchair ROCKED SO MUCH. He reminded me of Kenny Headen. When Barney said he was sorry that the kid had a terminal disease, I love his response. "Why? You didn't have anything to do with it, did you? Because if I find out you have anything to do with this I'll kick your ass!" BWAHAHAHA. Yes, good movie.

I think we fell asleep pretty soon after that. It was really late, and I was on a sugar high, so I can't really remember. There were tons of fabulously funny quotes that day, but I can't remember any of them. I was WOUND, man. Totally off the walls. Megan actually said "I love Gabby on a sugar-high." LOL.

Monday we woke up in the late morning. ... or was it early afternoon? LOL. I don't remember. We watched random TV shows (Growing Pains, Family Matters) and ate a very unhealthy breakfast. 4 different kinds of chips (potato and dorrito brand), candy sprinkles and I had cranberry juice, Megan had Dr. Pepper. .... IT WAS GOOD, SO SHUT UP!

Um, I'm getting tired so I'm gonna try to wrap this up. =D While Megan showered I watched TTT:EE Disk 4 and got ready to go out. My. WORD. I LOVE MY BOYS. THEY ARE SO FUNNY IT KILLS ME! I haven't finished the disk yet so I'll do that later and then post my thoughts on it, but I just have to say: VIGGO MORTENSON IS EVIL! AHAHAHAHAHAHA, lord I love him. He's SO bad.

Megan and I had decided to bring Allia some flowers because she had been sick with pneumonia for the past couple days. So we started out only to discover--SURPRISE! It was snowing. HARD. And I had forgotten my jacket. I'm such a dummy sometimes. So we headed out IN THE SNOW, me with nothing but a sweater on to keep me warm. Megan laughed, but it was really bad. I was squealing and jumping around and dancing around and screaming it was so cold and I was getting so wet. Not to mention Meg made me wear a pair of her high-heeled boots that day. I was certain I was going to slip and break my neck.

Anyways, we went to the local supermarket, to a florist, and then BACK to the supermarket before we decided on a bouquet of white roses. We wanted to get Allia an orange bouquet because orange is her favorite color, but there was nothing. So the roses would have to do. I also picked up a package of sour gummy worms because I promised Allia a gummy worm on a bet several months ago and never came through. hee hee. So after we got all our presentses we started on down to Epsom.

We listened to Brand New the whole way. We must have listened to "The Seatbelt Song" several dozen times in Allia's honor before we finally made it to her house.

Meg: We're comin' Allia!!!
Me: Somewhere, deep in the heart of Epsom, a young girl screams...

Anyways, we surprised her by calling her up and saying we were going to hang in Concord for the day. She asked us to swing by, but we "didn't know if we could." Finally we called up, "lost somewhere," and talked to her for a bit though we were actually in her driveway. I asked her where she was and she said she was in her room. I told her to look out her window. Suddenly her face appeared in the window and all she said was "Oh. Haha. That was fast." So we gave her the presentses and then she asked if she could bum a ride off us to get to her dance class up in Tilton. We, of course, agreed. I stopped in to say hello to Zacky-poo before we left and that was rather amusing. He had gotten a concussion from snowboarding and was proud because it landed him in the hospital. *rolls eyes* Idgit. All he did was smile or shake his head when I asked him something, so I took it upon myself to translate. "And now the Fabulous Gabby and her trained Monkey Zack!"

Meg dropped Allia and I off at my house and then headed off to work. I ate some tostadas for dinner (MMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm!!) and then Allia and I headed off to the dance school. Nichole and Danielle weren't there, so Allia never bothered going in to class LOL. We just stayed outside and watched them through the one-way mirror. To wrap things up, later I dropped Allia back off at home and got home in time to watch the last half of "King of the Jungle" (EEEE! IT'S GETTING SO INTENSE NOW THAT JOHN IS GONE!). I watched something else... but I've forgotten what now. SO I'll just wrap up this day's events. Nothing too entertaining could have happened after that.

I don't remember what I did Tuesday. That's sad. LOL. Egads, what did I do?....... IT WAS ONLY TWO DAYS AGO, FOR PETE'S SAKE! I remember I had a chat with B2 and Bria... but what else? Hmm... I guess it doesn't really matter because I was back here by then and must have updated once or twice that day. *shrug* If anything exciting happened I must have already told you. So, that's it for Tuesday! LOL!

me: DAMN IT!!
B2: damn what?
me: BILLY IS FATHERING SAMMI'S CHILDREN TOO???
me: I'M GONNA HIT HIM WITH A FRYING PAN!
B2: lmfao

me: Look:
me: a friend was trying to console me over the billy issue
me: I do see your point. *shakes head* Men. He was probably too awe inspired. "I don't deserve Gabby-ladriel! She's a beautiful ethereal elf! I'm just a short little hobbit!"
me: *snort*
B2: hehe!!
bria: LOL

Ran errands all day today. Had a Dr's appt to get to (btw, Dr. Bell is WAY too concerned with my love life, or rather lack-there-of, LOL). Bought some supplies for my scrap book. Had dinner at Ruby Tuesday's with mom. Just ran around all day long getting things done. And it was COLD, TOO. I didn't get home until..... hmm.. 8ish maybe? I can't remember. Oooooh, DID I MENTION? I GOT A MITHRIEL CHAIN FOR MY ONE RING TO HANG AROUND!!! =D Okay, so not actually Mithril, but it looks almost EXACTLY like the chain Frodo has. I'm very pleased with my find. =D Also, PotC was playing in Wal*Mart while I was looking for said chain. Had fun cracking myself up much to my mother's annoyance. Johnny Depp, man. He just kills me every time.

When I got home I watched Jeff Corwin and Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles! Because I am a geek and I LOVE THAT MOVIE!! It's so funny. Is it the last one? I'll have to imdb it. And... yes, I think that's all, actually.

sarah (orangesnow): and you would like my new status message for on Yahoo. 'gabby-ladriel hath corrupted me'. Cuz I'm starting to like Yahoo Messenger more than AIM! AAAH!

Yesterday's Theme For The Day:
Mom: Do you want to move to Italy?
Me: Sure!
Mom: Then you can chase all the Italian boys around!
Me: Hmm... how about I drive up to Scotland and chase all the Scottish boys around?
Mom: *laughs* Chase the Scottish boys? With their skirts a-flyin'!
Me: *dying of laughter* Have I told you my new motto? "Down with pants! Up with Kilts!"

Isn't she great? She really is great. Oh, I forgot to mention to ya'll... I finally watched Sniper 470. Good movie for a short film (it was only like 30 minutes long). A little risque though. *shakes finger at Billy* BAD BILLY, BAD! I think he likes playing in movies where he gets to be the martyr, too. *sigh*

Still haven't found the Premier magazine ANYWHERE. **ANYWHERE** So I have given up. Damnit. Guess I'll just have to download the pictures on-line and be satisfied. Because I'm not gonna find the magazine this time around. *sigh*

Though I did get the Disney Magazine and it's got a great interview in it, not to mention a fabulous PotC comic. Very creative. I was impressed. I'll type up the interview for ya'll later (it was a short one) 'cause I love you all that much. ;)

And now, I'M DONE! WHEEEEEE! FINALLY FINISHED! WHOOT! Now I'm gonna go watch what's left of CSI (because it's already past 9:30 here, I've been working on this post for a long time), then ER, and record my hobbitses on Primetime! Yay! Ciao!

I got my copy of Premiere at the Borders in Concord, have you tried there yet?

[identity profile] lordoflorien.livejournal.com 2003-12-04 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
NO! Thanks for the tip, I'll try that! *hands you hobbit of choice wrapped in a shiny red bow*
