ER and Primetime LOTR style, oh my!
Doooode. Okay. ER was great, really great. Kerry you are right---Romano WILL be missed. By me at least! *sniffle* I'm sad no one showed up at his memorial. That sucked. This episode sucked! But not really! lol. And next week! JOHN! WHEEE, CARTER TIME FOR THE GABBY!! So anyways. Yes. Love of the ER.
NOW ROTK PRIMETIME! EEEE! SO GOOD! I tried to make a mental note of all the things I wanted to comment on, so:
1. The picture of Orlando on Viggo's mirror that was captioned "Exhibit A) pointy Elf ears are superior, but here's a pair just for you, you human." LOVE THAT! AHAHA! So awesome. Bria tells me there was also a PotC pic up there... I must watch again to confirm this.
2. Orlando again. A quote about becoming Legolas: "Legolas was more of the quiet type so I mostly had to do the *makes intense facial expression* *deep voice* 'What's going on?' 'Something draws near I can feel it!'" He's so funny. btw, Bria has "Elf Envy." *SNORT* Funny funny boys.
3. That New Zealand airplane! DUDE, that was AWESOME! I want to ride on the LOTR plane! With Liv Tyler's giant eyeball! ROTFLMFAO! That was so funny!
4. Minas Tirith. Narsil. Gondor. The White Tower. I've already said it once today, but I'll say it again: I now, more than ever, want to work for WETA. My goodness. They're so cool. I can't WAIT can't WAIT to see more of their designs. When I saw the White Hall and Echthalion I about died. Wow. Wowowow. Lordy, I just... yes. Wonderful.
5. Another repeat of an earlier journal post: Gollum Juice! AHAHAHAHA. It never gets old! Love of the Andy Serkis consumes me! *snort*
6. THE ORC. THE BORED ORC. DOING JIM HENSON! *strumming on his sword and singing* "Why.. are there so many.. songs.. about rainbows.." I LAUGHED SO HARD! THAT WAS AWESOME!!! I will remember that till the DAY I DIE. Wow. Yes. I love that guy, whoever he is.
7. I am now convinced more than ever that Viggo is nothing more than a DIRTY ROTTEN TROUBLE-MAKER! AHAHAHAHA! I know I already mentioned THIS earlier too, but I'll say it again (and then again once I finish disk 4): he is EVIL! I love it so. It's so funny. Prankster. Ha.
8. PIPPIN! PIPPIN MEETING FARAMIR! "You've seen Frodo and Sam!" EEEEEEEE!! *dies*
BILLY!
WHOOP!
*THUD*
9. Okay, the whole disguising the One Ring by hiding it in a box labeled "Gandalf's microphones/whatever" to save it from souvenir hunters? YEAH, YOU KINDA BLEW THAT ONE, PRIMETIME! ROTFL! That was so funny. It's like "Whoops, eh, guess the cat's out of the bag?" lol, it was a good idea. Was.
10. Okay, the whole "Arwen: arguably Jackson's greatest veering from Tolkien" thing? YEAH, I'D ARGUE THAT! Let's begin with Faramir, then we'll get on Helm's Deep... *ahem* I've sort of killed this topic, eh? Heh. Still, sure he upped the romance a little, but I wouldn't say it's PJ's GREATEST difference from the original cannon. Though I am getting annoyed by the whole Arwen/Eowyn contest the media has going on. UGH. Yes, I get that the movie has to have a strong romance for it to be considered "Blockbuster," and yes I get that there's way more Arwen/Eowyn scenes in the movies than in the book, and YES, I get that there needs to be a good romantic conflict. But come ON, people. He's choosing Arwen, you dummies. Get over it.
11. There is a guy that works for WETA who's last name is "Funke" (pronounced "Funky"). There's no point to this. I just wanted to see who else caught that. Because it amused me greatly. Probably the best last name since Sean Foot. "I'm just amazed that your name is Foot and you work on my Foot. Sss. My foots. No E. *grin*"
12a. I LOVE THE FELLOWSHIP! SO MUCH! If you're unable to see clips/pictures from any other scene of Primetime, you NEED to see the hobbits + Andy out to dinner. THAT WAS THE BEST THING EVER! So much so that I have several sub-topics.
12b. Sean quote. How much did you have to gain for the role of Sam? "35 to 40 lbs. ... Well, I don't know if I HAD to gain that much, but ultimately I did." *Elijah can be heard cackling in the background* I LOVE SEAN ASTIN SO MUCH IT HURTS! THAT WAS SO FUNNY!
12c. Okay, you know what the best thing ever that's come from The Hobbits is to date? "Never above you, never below you, always by your side." OMGA *tear* It's just so beautiful... lol. Seriously. How awesome is that? I want to be their friends. Because that's the best toast/theme/motto? ever. It really is. I love that.
12d. Dom quote. What's been the best part of working on this film? "Meeting all beautiful women and sleeping on a pile of cash." *shakes head* Ever the blunt one, dearest Dom. Though your accent and Billy's could keep me in perpetual squee-mode for all my days.
BILLY!
WHOOP!
*THUD*
13. Have I mentioned I LOVE THE FELLOWSHIP yet? Oh man. The footage from the final day on set. Just, yes. Set me in a sappy 'aww' mood. Because really. Hugs! And tears! And goodbyes! And cast photos! *sniff* So wonderful. Also, all the footage from the New Zealand premier was WONDERFUL. I wanted to be there SO BAD. Or at least in LA. But I've come to realize that though I ache to be at one of these premiers to see the fellowship off on their final journey, it's not my memories. It's theirs. And no matter if I'm there or here it'll make no difference to my experience in the end. Regardless of where I am I will go away with the same memories and experiences, though one would be completely exploited to sound more grandiose than the other, and the cast will go away with theirs. In the end it really doesn't matter. *sigh* Although it does take away my excuse to dress up as Arwen for the premier. Because, honestly. FANGIRL!
And there you have it. Such a fabulous show! I never did find my LOTR tape so I ended up recording it on one of my Farscape tapes. *shrug* Oh well. It was just a matter of time before my two biggest obsessions merged in one way or another. Just be glad it wasn't in fanfic form. LOL! Imagine what a mess THAT would be! Hahaha.
I'm sad I missed meeting tonight. But something tells me it's probably for the better, because I'm not feeling particularly well this evening and a trip out into the snow and cold would probably be folly.
...And now I'm talking like Boromir. Splendid. Night! ;)
PS. Links and things to follow! I may make that post tonight (er, this morning?), I may make it tomorrow. I'm really not quite sure. All I know is I have three links open at the moment and over 200 friends page entries to go through before I'm finished. Wheee! 8-}

And I'm not happy about the Arwen / Éowyn thing either! However besides the general deviation of the book, it also has the general non book publick thinking less of Éowyn. GRRRRR! I mena if you watch the two movies, there is no indication that he will chose Éowyn. Every time it comes up he kindly deflects her and then is left to think about Arwen. HELLO!!! Why wouldn't he chose Arwen?!
And it's okay to randomally start talking like fictional characters, lord knows I do it all the time! At the moment I seem to have a strange combination of LOTR, HP and PotC dialect... Wouldn't you agree love?
Alas, I must journey forth to see a play, I'll be on later tonight. I got your IM but Henry was here so I didn't get to check anything out. Namárië mellon nín. Meleth le.

"Never above..." line was.... beautiful. Ohmigodtheirfriendshipissotrue. I really liked that part.
And Aragorn making trouble in costume... Running to the film developer when he shouldn't have and the way he "presented" his roll of film. God I'm a dork. Now you know why I like him ;)
