Links and things and spoilers... PART FINISHED!
OKAY, I'M FINISHING MY FRIENDS PAGES TODAY, EVEN IF IT KILLS ME! I'm really tired of reading through all those entries every day and not getting anywhere, so DANG IT, I'm gonna read them all today even if I'm up till 3am again! *goes to friends pages* Awww, I'm almost in the same spot on page skip=150 as I was last night, like nobody updated since then... *huggles you all* lol.
LOTR:
1. LA Premier pictures that I stole from
gypsyjr's LJ, in which Orli actually looks nice. And I think this is an insanely cool picture.
2. This makes me cry. Read the linked article and then the post made, because honestly people. Dom is such an incredible man and I feel horrible about all that's been happening to him in a negative way. *sigh*
3. Holy snot. Trick photography? I don't know. But look! They are so cute and I love them so (in a strictly NON-slash kind of way)
4. Ahaha. Sure, Dom honey. If you say so. ;)
5. 'Return Of The King' Premiere Marks Bittersweet Finale For 'Rings' Cast. Elijah looks SO MUCH like my friend Dave Woods in this picture. Also, I think I burst a blood-vessel in my brain when I saw a picture of David Wenham in there. Also also, I've seen all those ROTK stills save for one of Denethor and one of Theoden. Hmm.
6. As it is, Return of the King clocks in at three-and-a-half hours. The deleted Saruman scene reportedly ran seven minutes. (Peter Jackson says he'll put the scene in the DVD.)
7. This is from New Zealand News Week on Sky again, and has footage of the cast leaving NZ including some brief footage of the Bellybutton Poke. I am sure that I am in love with
andraste_oz now. FLYING WRAITHS!! THE WHITE TREE!! EEEEEE *falls down dead*
8. In response to a scene from the above movie clip: Ok, the Orlando plane nipple picture is so much cuter once you know that he raised his shirt in response to some fans raising theirs. Always giving back to the fans, that Bloom fellow. He's stand up. Heeeeee!
9. Pictures in which I am A) amused by the Billy icon, B) baffled by Orli's fake chest tattoo, C) COMPLETELY ENTHRALLED by the 80's face paint WHEEEEE, and D) in love with the Viggo time-line. Awww, Viggy at 16... so cute!
10. Never mind the fact that you're really hot, Dominic... ... If I found out you got addicted to cigarettes due to some movie I will pound you... correction, I will pound you anyway. Because sweet hot boys like you need to not die of lung cancer some day.
11. AHAHAHAHA!! I stole this from
sprklydncgrl, so PLEASE do not steal this from me. It's is simply for laughing purposes ONLY. ;)
12. Dom turns 27 today. Yay for suspiciously young looking 27 year old hobbits.
13. To show how much I love you all, I personally typed out
MIDDLE-EARTH MISSION
The bravest heroes in THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING happen to be the smallest ones -- the hobbits!
by Stephen Timblin
Who says bigger is braver? Not us. But in the final The Lord of the Rings adventure, The Return of the King, the bravest heroes are the little hobbits.
The three hobbit-actors won't tell us the fate of Middle-earth just yet, but they filled us in on plenty of cool details from the trilogy's final chapter. Read on to learn more about their characters' quests and to find out who really ends up with the Ring!
[Picture of Legolas mounted on horseback, preparing for battle, captioned: "While Frodo and Sam travel to Mount Doom to destroy the Ring, Legolas (Orlando Bloom) and the Fellowship fight Sauron's forces." On opposite page are head shots of Frodo, Sam, and Pippin respectively]
Tell us about your character's adventures in the final movie.
Elijah Wood (Frodo): Frodo's adventure gets pretty dark. The Ring has worked more of its evil on Frodo and he's faced with the ultimate form of evil toward the end of the movie, when he's really just a shadow of his former self. He gets pushed to the edge of his limits.
Sean Astin (Samwise): It's an extreme adventure to say the least. Frodo carries the burden of everyone, but Sam sees it as his job to protect Frodo, so it's really a tough day at the office for him!
Billy Boyd (Pippin): Pippin gets split up from his best friend, Merry. Gandalf has to take Pippin to one of the safest places on Middle-earth, a huge city called Minas Tirith, because Saruman the dark lord thinks Pippin might have the Ring. (Yeah, I'm willing to wager they meant SAURON the dark lord...)
What's one really cool thing we should look out for in this movie?
Billy: Pippin gets made a Knight of Gondor, an incredible achievement for anyone, let alone a little hobbit from the Shire!
Elijah: Shelob the giant spider makes her debut. There's an extraordinary sequence where the spider chases Frodo, and Sam ultimately does battle with the spider.
Did you get to take away any great souvenirs from the set?
Billy: I got some hobbit feet! And I have the Gondorian sword that Pippin gets when he's made a knight, which is very cool.
Sean: I got Sam's pack, an engraved walking stick, a pair of bronzed hobbit feet, and my sword. Someone asked me if I wanted the Ring, but I said "no way"!
Elijah: I have Sting, which is Frodo's sword, a couple pairs of ears, and [a] pair of hobbit feet. And, yes, I also got to keep the Ring!
Well there you have it! This article annoyed me a bit because they kept referring to RotK as LOTR 3 and they spelled Pippin's name "Pippen." Grrr. They also had a nice little bit on The Hobbit video game, and they had a contest between Legolas and Buddy the Elf to see which of them was the cooler Elf. I wont type that up, as the results were upsetting.
There was also a really good POTC comic strip that I thought was very inventive. I liked it. And some POTC screen caps where you had to caption what you thought the actors were thinking at that moment. That could prove to be highly amusing for someone like me. ;) Very spoiler-ific, but I'd recommend reading the last question anyway, in which they ask the three what souvenirs they got to take home. HEH. =D
BSB:
1. YES YES YES!!! *sobs out of excitement* I love you! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!
2. Howie went to one of JC Chasez's LA shows! AHAHAHAHA! I find that funny. Also, Ben Affleck was there. o_O
Linked because I found it interesting:
Folks in Iceland don't
tinker around with fairies and elves: They think the mystical creatures are
as real as humans.
The majority of Icelanders believe in elves, and a large portion of the rest
of the population are elf-friendly according to Reykjavik resident Magnus
Skarphedinsson, who has worked as an elf historian for 23 years.
Skarphedinsson is headmaster of the Icelandic Elf School which has given out
over 4,000 diplomas in Elf Studies.
The program is a four-hour study course and bus tour that takes students to
areas where fairies, elves and other mythical beings allegedly inhabit and
ends with a pancake breakfast.
Skarphedinsson says he's never seen an elf, yet he remains neutral on whether
he believes in them or not.
Iceland's culture is so steeped in elf lore that often road construction is
routed away from hallowed elf-ground for fear that they'll take revenge on
people who destroy their homes.
Despite his neutrality, Skarphedinsson says he wouldn't construct a house on
elf-land if he heard rumors about it being inhabited.

Your dominant hues are green and blue. You're smart and you know it, and want to use your power to help people and relate to others. Even though you tend to battle with yourself, you solve other people's conflicts well. Your saturation level is very low - you have better things to do than jump headfirst into every little project. You make sure your actions are going to really accomplish something before you start because you hate wasting energy making everyone else think you're working. Your outlook on life is very bright. You are sunny and optimistic about life and others find it very encouraging, but remember to tone it down if you sense irritation. |
