Okay, I need help. Please read and comment if you can.
Poll of General Interest:
(No, this time I wont be asking about skanky/scantily clad pirates. This is serious people, I mean really. :P)
Okay, so to all those who are interested in reading my Dom fic (if you're thinking "awhatywhatwho?" right now, I decided a few days ago that the lack of Dom HET fic had to be remedied. Therefore, I step in), I have a few questions. Does it matter how accurate it is? 'Cause you who have read my fics before know how much of a perfectionist I am, and I'll research Dom till I'm blue in the face gathering as much info about him as I can, and then end up not even referring to half of it. So I'm just curious. Since I'll be one of the first non-slash Dom fic writers out there (unless I'm grossly overlooking some site), I want it to be good. Your thoughts?
Also, from what I've written so far my fic has a pretty strong beginning. Which is alternately satisfying and a little unnerving. I have no earthly idea how it's going to end. Now, might I first explain to you my completely fickle personality. I have writing ADD, people, and the slightest feather-stroke in the wrong direction could catapult this fic into comatose status (and I just realized how funny that sentence is for people who've read my OTHER fics, ahaha). So should I trudge blindly forward and hope that the ending will eventually come to me? Or should I have a serious sit down and think this puppy through? 'Cause once I commit to posting it on-line, I want to finish it. And I want it to be good. So help me out here, people.
Answers to these questions would be appreciated, or any other comments or suggestions you might have for me at the time. Thank you thank you thank you, and to those of you who don't help and---HEY! ESPECIALLY YOU! YEAH, YOU WHO'S SCROLLING RIGHT PAST THIS ENTRY AND NOT READING IT! BACK UP, BUDDY, I'M TALKING TO YOU!!! To you guys, I have one thing to say: "Bite my shiny metal ass."
Erm... [nice smeagol face] Goodnight! =D

Maybe, to avoid your "featherstroke" syndrome, you should sit down and plot out EXACTLY whats going to happen, not only a general plot outline, but how you're going to develop it along the way to the point where you really only have to flesh it out, adding details and dialogue. That way, too, if you, for instance, hear a line on TV or something that you think would be hilarious for Dom or any other character to say, you can find a spot in your Very Specific Plot Plan (or VSPP) in which it would fit. Then you'll also have a general idea on how many chapters it may be, etc.
Anyway, thats just my humble opinion. Good luck!

You see, that's what I do with pretty much all my fics. And you've seen how they've deteriorated over the years. I think once I know what's happening I get bored with the plot, the way one would if, say, you watched the same movie over and over again. It may be a good movie, but if you watch Pirates of the Caribbean 20 times a day 7 times a week for months on end, you're gonna get bored with it and not want to look at it ever again. I think that's my problem, that's why I have such "feather-stroke syndrome" as you put it. ;)
But thanks, your opinion has been duly noted.
