It has just come to my attention that there is a matter I need to handle in regards to my friends pages. Which sucks, because I don't feel like going into a long explanation of myself, but it looks like I'm going to have to. So here are a few updates and things, and after this I'll get into the matter.
I'm feeling much better today too, now that I've been able to get my mind off certain things and just spend a day to myself, lazily writing fic.
I was reading an interview today with Elijah Wood, and they credited him as starring in a movie called The War and Flipper. This amused me greatly, so I thought I'd share. ;) Hehe.
An Elijah interview in which he talks about his future in film, Star Wars, and Johnny Depp. Eeee, I want to HUG HIM for talking about Johnny! Wood said he respects the way Johnny Depp developed his career. Depp began as a teen idol of TV show "21 Jump Street" but transcended that to become a major movie star known for roles in movies that push creative bounds like "Edward Scissorhands" or "Ed Wood." Okay, love these movies. Love Elijah. Love it all. Wheee.
I want to rent one of these Hobbit Holes. Though I'm not sure I'd like my neighbors. ;) Still, if you read the article your eyes will boggle at how much crap PJ has on his estate. Sheesh.
AAAAAAAAAAACK!! WHY DIDN'T ANYBODY TELL ME THERE WERE HOBBITSES ON THAT BONUS GOLLUM DISK THAT CAME WITH TTT BOX SET??? *wails* Thank the lord for friends with screencaps! Look at how cute they are! I NEED TO SEE THIS!! Also note: GEEK GLASSES!!! OH ELIJAH, YOU JUST BECAME 10 TIMES HOTTER TO ME!!! Guh. He really needs to wear these more. Also, Billy Boyd is so hot he makes my teeth sweat. *proWr*
This is now my new favorite site of all time. Because honestly. The pretty. The pretty layout. And the pretties. All just very pretty. *dies* Also note: In one picture of Dom he has "Girls Lie" written on his hand. I LOVE HIM SO!!
So now I move on to a wrap up of last week.
Tuesday was pretty much covered. After finishing up with the two extended editions (not getting to finish TTT was the first disappointment of the evening) I headed over to Sarah's house. We chilled there for a while, talked and such, which was cool. Laurie chatted and shared jokes and was fun until she went to bed. Sarah and I headed over to the theater a 1/2 hour early to meet up with my sisters (since brother bagged out, both sisters came in his stead). They both showed up drunk. Though one was CONSIDERABLY more rowdy, annoying, and loud than the other. Second disappointment of the evening, not counting the whole brother bagging out ordeal. Sarah and I left them at the concession stand so we could save seats. No 4 seats together available in the ENTIRE theater (which granted was tiny) save in the very front row. Had to almost lay flat in chair to be able to see movie, and nothing could stop the dizzying headache that ensued due to being less than 3 feet from the screen. Third and fourth disappointment of the evening. Spent the next 3 1/2 hours from midnight till half past three in the morning deflecting blows from the "rowdy sister" and trying to ignore the fact that they were both talking/laughing so loudly people kept staring at us. I was red with embarrassment much of the night. Disappointment #5. By end of movie was considerably numb and emotionless, save heartbroken at some of the things I heard the audience murmur about the movies. Good time was not had by all, as evidenced by some of the... reactions I got. That makes #6. Highlight of the evening was the fact that I at least found some amusement in what sisters were giggling about all night. Low-point was when I realized I couldn't move my neck much at all. #7. General review from my guests starting with A) Sarah: "It was okay" B) Jonna: "I didn't get it" C) Jeanna: "That was NOTHING like the books. IT SUCKED!" That makes #8. Shrugged, got over it, moved on, drove Sarah home, drove incapacitated sister home. Got on-line briefly, went to bed. No good trailers to report (Save maybe Spiderman 2... EEE! And a bunch of other fantasy-ish stuff). A few of my more favorite contributions to the film:
Sarah: DUDE, these are sketchers with awesome treds... I AM Lord of the Feet!
Movie: *shows orcs growling*
Jeanna: OBVIOUSLY the Dark Tower does NOT offer a decent dental plan!
Movie: *shows Legolas and Aragorn*
Jonna: (mimicking Aragorn) Oh, c'mere and give me a kiss, you big girl!
Movie: *naked Frodo chest* Sam: Let's find you some clothes, you can't be walking around Mordor like that!
Jeanna: Oh sure he can! YES please!! Shelob's not the only one who thinks you're tasty! Yummmm! (Note: yes, this is the 38-yr-old I watched SNL with)
Movie: *Pippin runs to Merry's side*
Jonna: Oh no, you hurt my gay lover! NOW I'm angry!
Movie: *Aragorn makes valiant last stand*
Jeanna: FINALLY, THE ONLY PERSON IN ALL OF MIDDLE EARTH WITH A DECENT DENTAL PLAN!
Audience: *hysterics at her loud statement*
Movie: *Sam admits on Mt. Doom that Rosie is the only person he'd ever marry*
Jonna: (mimicking Frodo) Oh I'll marry you, Sam!
I could go on. But I wont. At least I had some laughs.
Wednesday I slept late into the afternoon. Not entirely positive I did anything productive after that. Tried watching PotC with Mom and sister, who both promptly fell asleep. Ended up watching it by my onesies. I still love Jack. THERE'S A TRAILER FOR HIDALGO ON IT! WHEEEEEEE want to see it. Also the Lion King 1/2 trailer amused me greatly. Note to self: Look for easter eggs later. Note to self again: When you're waiting on your mother/sister for a half hour before you can actually start the movie, be sure to remember all the bonus goodies are on the SECOND disk, damn it. Will watch that later. Can't remember anything else, so let's move on.
Thursday was another beautiful day. Had to wake up early so we could drive sister to the airport up in MAINE. MAINE! Did so, which wasn't so bad as I brought CD's along and whatnot. The person told her that her flight was a half hour delayed when in fact it was NOT, so while we sat around in the terminal chatting her plane loaded up and left WITHOUT HER. Mom and I did not discover this until we left her at the airport to go get some lunch in South Portland. Sister calls frantic. Airline decided to fly her to NEW YORK, then SHUTTLE HER OVER TO A DIFFERENT AIRPORT, and from THAT airport fly her non-stop to LA. This is all fabulous. Turns out the flight was very convenient and nice, so sister tried not to be too upset. Though it caused a huge inconvenience and extra cost for shuttle fare. Airlines are dumb. When she got home she found out that her brand new truck had been the victim of a hit and run, and was now all newly dented up. Ah, the joys of Hollywood. This is a normal day in my family's routine. ANYWAY, enjoyed a great lunch at On The Border (YAY for decent mexican food!) and scuttled home just barely in time for meeting. Which was good. Talked to Ben Verril, and Madeline Biggelow kept making Ent noises behind me all meeting. You have no idea how hard it was not to laugh. Imagine a tiny, 5" or under, 80 something older woman making "HROOM" noises for two hours, and then you will understand my dilemma. So yes. Meeting was hysterical per usual, and afterwards I went out to Friendly's with Danielle, Brian, Matt B. and Mandy, Megan, and some guy I'd never met before named Brandon (Erica R.'s brother). Twas fun, I suppose. Was left out of conversation. Wasn't hungry. Really there was no point in going, but Matt does a kick but impression of Smeagol so it made it worth it. Came home at 11pm and... I don't remember. Did stuff?
Friday. Yesterday. Well, I pretty much covered this. Cleaned all day. Exercised my butt off. Made dinner. Watched "Camelot" which was so boring and weird that my parents forced me to turn it off before we even made it an hour in. So I watched "A Perfect Murder" or whatever it's called with Viggo Mortensen instead, which also proved to be so boring I barely paid attention. Did he die? I think he did. There was much blood at one point when I looked at the TV, though I have no idea what happened. I was sad that I didn't get to go to Sarah's house. :( I was also sad that I let Ben down and didn't get to go with his family to see RotK, though I think that was probably for the best. Umm... right, talked to Bria until half past 11 when the phone rang and it was Dani and it was an emergency and to cut a long story short she needed a place to crash for the night. So she came over and slept here on the trundle bed. My po' little Dani.
So now we reach today. I woke up early for meeting but Dani was still asleep and I didn't want to disturb her, so I let her rest and stayed home so she wouldn't have to wake up and have no one here. She left at around 10am I think. I've been very very tired and groggy all day, but in a CONSIDERABLY improved mood since I've sort of removed myself from everything and did my own thing today. I cleaned the oven and wrote fanfiction and cleaned up my hard drive & disks. Also prayed for help not to be in such a weird funk, and almost immediately after I prayed I thought of my silly songs zip disk and popped it in. Since I've had the Scotsmen on repeat at least a dozen times, as well as Cows with Guns and Starwars Gangster Rap. Wheeee. Much fun was had. It's FREEZING here, but that's okay. And I skimmed my friends pages, but if there's something in particular you want ME PERSONALLY to know, you might want to drop a line, because I didn't really read much of anything.
And that's today thus far! I had a bunch of things I wanted to remember to update with last night, but I lost the list in all the craziness. Needless to say I've missed EVERY SINGLE LOTR related appearance on TV since SNL. That includes TRL, AGAIN!! *do'h* Also, you can't blame me for not watching that thing on Biography (even though I said screw it anyway), because I actually DID look for it and it was not playing on Biography at all, all day. I think I'm gonna go check again right now to make sure I didn't mistake the day it was supposed to be on (though I know for a fact that
jedi_bria was watching it.)
Um... Yeah, that's all I can remember. So there you have it. I'll update with that other mess in a minute, if that Biography thing doesn't end up being on after all.
OH, PS. I find it amusing that everyone on my friends list keeps saying "Sorry Gabby" whenever they make a large post. WTF? It's okay guys, really. Hehehe, no worries, I can dealwhen I don't have a backlog of 200 entries.
