It's RAINING! OH, the HORROR!

There was a big storm last night. It was unpleasant. After spending all day with writers block and a talk to finish I was already a little more than stressed out. Not to mention I couldn't find my householder. So when I finished my talk at 5, grabbed something for dinner, edited a minute off of my talk again, found a back up householder, dressed and beat it to the hall, it was NOT PLEASANT to have to walk through the torrential floods to get in. It was pouring buckets, and by the time I got inside I looked like I fell in a lake somewhere. At least I wasn't wearing white. That would have been my worst nightmare come true.

So I found my householder, everything went off smashing (aside from the fact that I was a little nervous because when we timed it it went over 20 seconds and I've never gone over before, not to mention I didn't have my usual amount of time to practice it), the meeting was excellent and afterward I went out to Friendly's with JD and Bryan and another friend Nate. I didn't particularly WANT ice cream but J forced me to order something. So I basically got sherbet seltzer water. lol. Which actually wasn't that bad. But the association was nice. We all had fun (Bryan in particular because he got to order off of the "grown up menu" and had a sunday so big with so much candy and chocolate on it I was afraid he'd faint. Oh contrare, he just acted like a sugar-demon the whole car ride home. I wish I had been there to see his crash. He was actually going "Javajavajavajavajavajavajavajava..." rotfl, it was hilarious).

Anyway, I'm rambling now. Needless to say I was none too happy to wake up to gray skies AGAIN (and it just started to pour, lovely) after thinking I was going to fry myself on-line last night. Hey, when you've written a 6 minute talk all on-line and you're THAT stressed out, suddenly lightning striking outside your window doesn't seem so dangerous. But I did have some great conversations with Sands and Jer, and he actually helped a lot with my writers block. Thank goodness. I don't know what I would have done if he didn't throw some ideas at me.

So anyway, I'm feeling a bit queasy and still a little tired, so I think I'm going to end this rant. No need to thank me.

Luv, Gabby
