Just a general update.

Dudes, if electronic hugs could be felt, I'd be black and blue right now. Thanks guys. :)

I'm so tired right now. Probably because the time stamp lies and it's actually past one o'clock in the morning right now. Realistically because I haven't been sleeping, and I've been doing a lot of emotionally exhausting things lately.

It's times like today when I'm standing on my front porch looking at a sky streaked hot pink and tangerine and soft purple and baby blue, a gentle cool breeze hitting my bare arms and the wind smelling fresh and crisp that I realize just how adversely winters affect me. I've always disliked it, but my heart belongs to spring and summer, so it's to be expected. But when I stand outside and feel irrepressibly happy just because of the environment I'm in (and possibly because live DMB music is blaring in my kitchen), I realize just how much a part of me warmth and sun and new life is, and how devastating the effects of winter are on that. Just as the cold kills the growth of the summer, so the winter months kill a good-sized part of my soul. I guess I have SAD (Seasonally Affected Depression) or something. All I know is winters do a number on me, no matter how much I want to deny it. But on the upside, winter is declining and summer is fast approaching, so hopefully this will give my soul some time to recoup.

Though, I do have to CURSE NEW HAMPSHIRE FOR YESTERDAY. Dudes, it's APRIL. And yesterday, IT WAS SNOWING. I'm not talking about a little spritzing here and there... I'm talking flakes about 1/2 an inch in diameter. Freakin' big buggers. A heavy, heavy snow, that lasted several hours. And it wouldn't have been so bad had not it left a white film on the ground. !!!! DAMN YOU MOTHER NATURE, SNOW IS NOT SUPPOSED TO STICK IN APRIL!!! After that the sky randomly spit snow at us all day, and each time it did I bludgeoned my head with something blunt and hard. Just this past Saturday it was the perfect day, driving in my car, not a single cloud in the sky, AIR VENTS ON, windows down, sun shining, ice melting off the lakes! AAaah the lakes are melting I'm so happy! It was the best day to be driving around with DMB blasting. And then yesterday it snows? *sigh* I have to get out of this state.

But anyway. Things really aren't all that bad. I'm just a bit lonely after working two weeks straight practically by myself, and now coming home to an empty house because my parents have gone out of town... I really need to start making friends in my own state. I mean, all you guys are wonderful, but it's time I actually made NEW friends that, you know, lived within a feasibly reasonable driving distance from my house. Meh. I still need a hug, damn it.

Um, because I'm WAY too cool to watch Star Trek:TNG all afternoon, I wasn't insanely happy to note that one of the episodes on today was "Unnatural Selection." ... Because I don't have the names of the episodes memorized or anything. ... *nervous cough* But, if I HAD been watching the show with giddy happiness, which I wasn't, I might have been EXTREMELY AMUSED by all the double meanings I found in Captain Picard's many dialogs, which I wasn't. My most favorite DEFINITELY having been this:

(Background for those of you who don't know: Jean Luc and Dr. Beverly Crusher have a thing going on. *waggles eyebrows* Well for a brief stint, she left the show and was replaced by another doctor, Dr. Pulaski, a not-as-attractive but stridently strong-willed member, like Jean Luc.)
Captain Picard: ...I'm hoping this will provide the opportunity for me to better assess the performance of our new Chief Medical Officer...
(....Dudes, SERIOUSLY, what ELSE could he mean? BETTER ASSESS the PERFORMANCE of our NEW Chief medical officer? Player!)

I must have laughed out loud for a good five minutes straight. I felt so dirty, but so amused. Er, I mean, I would have been had I been watching. But like I said, I'm way too cool for that.... I also didn't notice about half a dozen other similar innuendos in the same episode. God I love that show. And Jean Luc Picard. And my dirty mind.

But anyway. All Star Trek aside... Bria amuses me deeply when she's sleep deprived. Check it out:

mustang_girl14: IT'S A THIRD!!!!!!!
Bria : I'm taking a THURD of the bloody fellowship
mustang_girl14: SAME DIFF!!!!
Bria : no
mustang_girl14: It's HALF THE HOBBITS
Bria : a half is more than a thiird
mustang_girl14: THAT'S WHAT MATTERS
mustang_girl14: You can KEEP the prissy princeling!!!
Bria : yeah but the hobits in their entierity make up half the fellowship (no pun intended)
Bria : Oh I intend on keeping him. And the good thing is, he'll live forever
mustang_girl14: HAhahahahaha
mustang_girl14: why did that sound deliciously evil in my minds ... er... ear?
Bria : and if hobbits make up half the fellowship and I have half the hobbits, wouldn't that mena I have a fourth of the fellowship - which is less than a third
Bria : and you don't evem LIKE the prissy princling
mustang_girl14: dude
mustang_girl14: Don't even try to go Pippin logic on me
mustang_girl14: I own that boy, I know better
mustang_girl14: You have a third of my fellowship which might as WELL be half because I don't want Gandalf, Gimli, or Aragorn anyway
Bria : "If you're as confused as I am right now, then we're even"
Bria : THAT'S pippin Logic?
mustang_girl14: LMFAO
mustang_girl14: Oh god. All will be forgiven you if I can just PLEASE, PLEEAAASE HAVE DAVID DUCHOVNY.
Bria : I just fell out of the chair
Bria : but are you as confused as I am?
mustang_girl14: see? Pippin logic is usually combined with pippin-isms
mustang_girl14: ie: falling out of otherwise safe objects
Bria : <-- is still sitting on the floor
Bria : what about Abby-logic?
mustang_girl14: That's slightly more dangerous, but slightly less confusing
Bria : =)) *rolling on floor laughing* <-litterelly
mustang_girl14: key word: SLIGHTLY
Bria : what if Pippin and I put our Pippina dn Abby logic together?
mustang_girl14: Then.... both our worlds would cease to exist
Bria : would thaat be more dangerous than Jack sober?
mustang_girl14: Oh
mustang_girl14: Jack sober is just frightening
mustang_girl14: not really dangerous as much as... fear inspiring
Bria : and Pippin and I aren't?
mustang_girl14: No. You're baffling. You emit strong "Use with Caution" feelings
Bria : so is that why you don't want Pippin to gcome here?
Bria : you think our combined logics will destroy the universe
mustang_girl14: No
Bria : ...although that could be quite a popular move since the creation of the universe was so vastly unpopular
mustang_girl14: I just don't want you snogging my man ;) :D
Bria : i stopped laughing
Bria : but I'm still sitting on the floro and the keyboard is in the chair
mustang_girl14: *blinks*
mustang_girl14: :|
Bria : and my Legolas standup is staring at me like I'm nuts
mustang_girl14: dude, chances are if a cardboard cut out of a fictitious character is staring at you with purpose, you ARE nuts
Bria : iston - go to bed
Bria : I thought we already established that
Bria : I mean i AM sitting on the floor
mustang_girl14: but apparently we were wrong
Bria : why else would I be doing that?
mustang_girl14: Oh yes
mustang_girl14: lets concentrate on the sitting on the floor aspect of this situation
mustang_girl14: obviously THAT is the craziest thing by far
Bria : =)) *rolls on floor laughing*
mustang_girl14: 8-| *rolls eyes*
Bria : if you think this is bad you should have seen me 2 weeks ago
mustang_girl14: I can only imagine
mustang_girl14: wait no
mustang_girl14: I pretty much know by past experience
mustang_girl14: but you know
Bria : there was an lj entry
Bria : http://www.livejournal.com/users/jedi_bria/159038.html
Bria : I decided to post this just before I went to bed
Bria : after I tripepd over the same wire 5 times in 10 minutes
Bria : the next morning I had no idea what I wrote so then I added this entry as an explination: http://www.livejournal.com/users/jedi_bria/159292.html
mustang_girl14: lmfao
mustang_girl14: go to bed

I love her.

http://www.80stees.com. You want to buy me presents. Yes, you do. PLEASE buy me something pretty. *bats lashes* I really, really, REALLY want me a Wembley doll (Fraggle Rock). Aaaah, on the order summary page somewhere it says "enter discount code" and if you click that and enter "Spring2005" you get 20% off. So 20% off about half the store is... what? Couple grand? That's not too shabby....

*pouts* I hate being poor. BUY ME PRESENTSES, PRECIOUS!!!

I need to go to sleep. No, I need to write some more and work on my webpage, but I'll stop for tonight. Getting *quickly scans* 12 pages knocked out in one night is pretty good for me. Tomorrow night, though, since I don't have my school this week, I'll get back to it.

Night all.

Today's Theme For the Day:

[identity profile] jedi-bria.livejournal.com 2005-04-15 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
I finally got off the floor.

My hair isn't exactly like Éowyn's, I tried it this morning and it didn't look right so I went for my normal putting part up and let the wavies glide down.

And I just re-read my logiv about having Frodo, Pippin and Legolas and only having a forth of the fellowship instad of half and I still maintain that I'm right. Also, I do think putting Pippin and Abby Logic would indeed destroy the universe but I think that would make the two of us quite popular. I mean the creation of the universe was so unpopular.

I'm really tired now. ...can you tell?

*glaces side to side* Wanna buy a duck?

[identity profile] lordoflorien.livejournal.com 2005-04-19 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
4550 Jedi. :D

Dude, no. You have half the fellowship. Actually, when you think about it, you have three of only 8 surviving members, and two of only 4 eventual immortals, so when you break down those statistics you have more like 5/8's of the fellowship. So your theory of having 1/4 of the fellowship is totally unfounded.

A what?

[identity profile] jedi-bria.livejournal.com 2005-04-19 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
By surviving members are you counting after Boromir fell and before Gandalf came back as the White wizard or after he came back as the White Wizard? Because technically, the fellowship started breaking after Gandalf fell and it broke completly when Boromir died. So that leaves it with 7, which in case I would have 3/7's of the fellowship. But if you want truly surviving members, at the end of the books, since Boromir died, and Gandalf and Frodo sailed west, only six of the fellowship were left in Middle Earth. And if you take your count from that, then I would have 1/3rd of the fellowship since Frodo would have sailed and I would be left with only Pippin and Legolas. So either way you break it down, I would still have less than half, as you origional claimed.

A duck.

[identity profile] lordoflorien.livejournal.com 2005-04-19 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
4710 Jedi.

I was referring to after Gandalf rose, since I figured you'd call me on it if I said 7 surviving instead of 8. That being the case, I call YOU on it now. So going back to the original theorem of 3/8's fellowship, you cannot discount Frodo for sailing west, as he went to the "UNDYING LANDS," ergo he survived with the other 7 fellowship members. If anything, you'd have to count him double, since he lives forever and lasts longer than the mortal fellowship. That being the case, factoring Legolas into that same theorem, you have 5/8's of the fellowship as I stated before.

...Does it quack?

[identity profile] jedi-bria.livejournal.com 2005-04-19 11:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, but Gandalf, Sam, Legolas and Gimli also sail to the undieing lands so all five of them live the longest. And out of those five, I only have two so that gives me 2/5ths of the fellowship. And you can't count double for immortality!

Of course it quacks.

[identity profile] lordoflorien.livejournal.com 2005-05-03 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Even if that were so, I am only keeper of the hobbits (and a few Lothlorien elves), so out of those 5 I only have Sam (since you've seen fit to take Frodo from me), meaning I only have 1/5 the fellowship which, reasonably, would mean you have 4/5s.

Hey, you wanna buy a duck?

[identity profile] jedi-bria.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
You don't have Merry?

A duck?

[identity profile] lordoflorien.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Of course I have Merry. But he didn't sail to the undying lands, which was what we were talking about at that point in time.

A duck? (usually I say "A what?")

See my moot latest entry and read my subject - I'm mostly amusing

I'm not thinking - I mean worse than usual.. Se my moot latest entry for my current mental well being. (as if this entry isn't proof enough) It will amuse you. (Which is why i have the Guide entry of "Mostly Amusing") Mitchell likes the hithhiker's idea. I'll fill you in when I'm not sleepy and I'm not craving a liquid that is almost, but not quite, entierly unlike tea.

*skips ahead* Is this duck blue?

...did that comment even make sense? That's probaly the most imporbably comment. ...or not.
