a slightly less peppy recreation of what lj lost
I'm so incredibly tired. My head is spinning around in circles that's how tired I am. (I'm usually like this when I get a decent nights sleep after not sleeping for days/weeks) Blaaaaaaah. I thought I'd tell you about my weekend though. I was too contemplative last night to sit down and write.
Nothing noteworthy happened on Friday. We just drove all day, getting stuck in traffic jams all day long (especially in and around the NY area, fun). We arrived in NJ around 9:30 and headed straight to Ger's house to visit for a bit. Then we all headed over to the Veticks and talked a bit over there too.
Saturday was the party. I woke up early, ate breakfast (which I normally hate doing, but Geraldine had already prepared it and I didn't want to be rude), and helped set up the party. It was all outdoors and it was HOT, so I was having lots of fun. :P Not too many people were there, only about 30 or 40 which is a decent number to me. Ben, Daron, and 3 new guys put on a little skit for Ger that was hilarious. It was "The Life of Gerren: Who's Line is it Anyway? Style." They did a great job. Everyone stayed pretty late, but after everyone had left and the presents hadn't been opened yet I forced Ger to open them. Heh. This being at 11 at night mind you. It was fun though. He got some pretty nice stuff.
Sunday was the meeting, (where we chatted with whoever wasn't at the party) and then lunch out with the Veticks and Ger's family afterward. Actually before that I got to see a DVD Don put together for Ben's wedding, which was excellent. I got to talk to him a bit about directing too. He told me the best thing to do was buy me a video camera or a regular one and start filming. Just get the feel of it. :D
Lunch was good, we stayed and talked until quarter to 3 (Ger had to leave earlier than that though because he had orientation at his new college). Then we got on the road and started the drive home. Hey B2!
myplanetvenus! Guess what? Driving through New York we were headed along at a decent clip and this pigeon comes down and starts to fly parallel to us. It was hilarious because we were both going along at the same speed and all I could think of was "WHAT is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?" And it made me think of you. :) There was another funny thing from the drive home I wanted to mention but I can't remember what it was now. Oh well.
There's my weekend for you. It was good seeing all my old friends again. Though they've all grown to be so HUGE! They're all 6'2 or taller. They were supposed to stay short and awkward. Now they may get it in there heads that one day they may be able to whoop me, and I can't have that. :P I loved growing up a tom boy.
This trip did get me thinking though. It made me realize how insignificant I am. I think for a bit there I was getting too sure of myself. This trip most definitely took me down a notch. Got me thinking of how little I know and how much less I have to offer someone. I'm of little worth and lacking in much; sometimes I wonder what people see in me. It gets you wondering who are your real friends and who are just being polite around you, but behind your back they prove to be like venomous vipers. I suppose it's time I remember my place.
*sigh* Hello little world, I am home.

I was wondering when you'd start up on that.
