Went to pick up dad from Manchester today. Driving back I saw a little girl with long brown hair sitting in the back of a station wagon with her forehead pressed against the window, looking outside with her favorite stuffed animal tucked under her left arm, it's little head just under her chin, and a pair of head-phones perched atop her head. The only thing I could think was "I feel your pain," as I suddenly found myself back in the place of that little girl. *sigh* And I thought those days were over. Looks like they may just be beginning.
Watched 2 new shows tonight on Fox. "Firefly" and "John Doe." Both shows I was excited to see, but neither impressed me all that much. Though, I did walk away with some great quotes.
Firefly:
"...Were there monkeys? Some terrible Space Monkeys get loose perhaps?" (rotfl, thinking of you ALWAYS BSTEM! *hugs the sammers*)
"Did he just go crazy and then fall asleep?" (DUDE, OKAY, WAT SAID THIS LINE! YOU KNOW, WAT? FROM A KNIGHTS TALE? I LOVE HIM SO VERY VERY MUCH!! He's the only reason I wanted to see this show in the first place. *huggles him* And that girl from that show I used to watch is on here... with Tucker [possibly the best teenage male TV character ever created] and why can't I remember the name of the show? I CAN REMEMBER THE BEGINNING CREDITS, FOR PETES SAKE! Oh that's gonna bug me FAST FORWARD! THE NAME OF THE SHOW WAS FAST FORWARD. Okay. I'm good now. And there's a Gina on the cast. Just had to say that. *ahem* Please continue)
Monk:
"A short gang of lime thieves?"
"It's a nutty world."-Monk
I love that show. He cracks me up. Adrian Monk. Heh. Oh, I forgot a quote from Firefly. At the end the main character (the good guy) was setting up a perfect returning-evil-bad-guy-that-will-never-stop-hunting-the-good-guys character and the bad guy goes "I will never rest until I find you, my blade will be the last thing you ever see. You'll never see it coming" blah blah blah, all that great returning-evil-guy crap and the star looks at him and says "Darn." Then pushes him into the ships engines. I was like "DUDE, ROCK ON!" I wasn't expecting that. That just totally blew me away. Which is probably one of the only reasons I may try watching again next week.
Sarah sent me some quotes from Sports Night that totally represents my computer in every way, but I'm too lazy to go copy&paste them. *shrug*
I've been an evil little creative beast all day today. Seeing different shapes and figures in little ordinary things, then sketching them out and naming them, giving them qualities and personalities. Pretty much being like Evil White Saruman when he made the Uruk-Hai. Except the things I'm making don't resemble the Scorpion King as much.
Along with that, I've also been slipping unwittingly into the world of fantasy without realizing it until I notice from somewhere far off that I've picked up an English accent again and have been talking to myself for the last 15 minutes. Oh, the insanity. But, I've got some great sci-fi ideas brewing.
But it's like I always say, I'm just a frustrated director in a writer's stolen clothes. Half the things I've done today can never be in my little land of fiction because they're those intriguing little bits of fantasy only your eyes and senses can pick up. *sigh* I am so lost.
Need to see if the OTHER Sarah can make me one of her "little girl lost" Chiana icons.
PS. I believe I just said to myself "It's midnight... and a HALF!" *shakes head*

Bwaaaaahahaha! That part rocked. I liked Firefly, I really did. I think the main problem it had was that the episode they showed last night wasn't the pilot so it would have made a lot more sense and been funnier if we were familiar with the characters, which we weren't.
And, dude, Catalina from Space Cases (Jewel Staite) is on it! That's what had me eeeing. I adore that girl.

That's Wat! Wat from "A Knights Tale"! I LOVE Wat! "It's called a LANCE, helloooooooo!" He's the only reason I wanted to see the show, because he is like the most adorable endearing supporting actor EVER. I don't think he's ever been the star of a movie, because he just ROCKS as a SA. LOVE. HIM. SO. MUCH.

Hm. Maybe. I'm just not sure I like how they're trying to combine a Wild Wild West show with a Sci Fi show. It's sorta... strange. But of course, I wasn't totally into Farscape when I first started watching, so maybe it'll grow on me.

Dude, I think that's the same girl I was 'eee'ing, so to speak, over too. Remember my whole annoying blurb about Fast Forward? Yeah, she was the female lead from Fast Forward. I LOVED that show. Tucker, the male lead, was possibly the best teenage character ever created for TV. I LOVED him so very much.
I love a lot of people, have you noticed that lately??
