Four Days at Dragon*Con
Oct. 6th, 2011 02:03 pmPart of me is thinking, "Wait, you mean it's only been a month since Dragon*Con?" and the other part is going, "OMG, how has this month gone by so fast?" Time. She is a funny, fickle thing.
Anyhow, back in 2009 a film crew wandered around D*C and made a little documentary called "Four Days at Dragon*Con." Since then, the hour-long documentary has won an Emmy, been broadcast around the US on PBS, and is now up in its entirety on PBS Video. For those interested in watching, which I do in fact recommend, here it is:

"You don't make the kind of friends like you do at Dragon*Con anywhere else. Whether they be lasting or just for those four days, or even, and I've been told, in some cases some people have had very deep friendships for about twenty minutes. We're all misfits, so as a result we all come together under this one beautiful umbrella that is the chaos of Dragon*Con, and I use 'chaos' in the most endearing way that I can."
